Appearance

Inosuke usually appears in a mask and bare-chested. Without a mask, you can see that he has a beautiful, feminine face, thin eyebrows, large green eyes with long eyelashes and black, voluminous, shoulder-length hair turning blue. As other characters notice, the soft features contrast with his muscular figure and rough, harsh voice. Of the standard Demon Fighter uniforms, Inosuke wears only dark blue trousers secured with a wide wool belt and ending in the same blue wool socks with bare toes and heels. The most important element of his clothes is a light gray boar mask.

Personality and interests

Inosuke is incredibly short-tempered and reckless, so he often gets into a fight with a stronger opponent without thinking about the consequences. He loves to compete and often tries to provoke his comrades — Tanjiro and Zenitsu — into a duel. Inosuke grew up alone in the mountains, and because of this it is difficult for him to communicate with other people, he cannot read and write. Due to the fact that he became a demon hunter and gained friends and allies, Inosuke learned to spend more time thinking about strategies, analyzing the enemy and assessing risks, and also learned to accept help. Inosuke is quite vindictive, especially when the people he cares about suffer. He was convinced that the driver who stabbed Tanjiro did not deserve to live. He immediately attacked Douma after learning that he had killed and devoured Shinobu, and he got really angry when he found out that Douma was also the one who left him an orphan. Most notably, he did not hesitate to challenge Mudzan, demanding atonement for the numerous deaths of the demon slayers. Due to the fact that he was raised by wild boars, Inosuke has a poor understanding of how to behave in society. At first, he considers everyone who approaches him to be an enemy. He also does not understand the kindness with which other people treat him. Inosuke cannot read and write, he has difficulty with human names: instead of Tanjiro, he says Monjiro, instead of Zenitsu - Monitsu. Sometimes Inosuke can be too rude, but unintentionally. As the story progresses, Inosuke becomes more and more influenced by Tanjiro. He gets used to affection and generosity, learns to recognize someone else's strength, build friendships with others, but does not cease to be proud and somewhat narcissistic. He also begins to think strategically, entering into battle using more intelligent tactics that he has learned from more experienced Demon Slayers.

Background

Inosuke was raised by wild boars — all his life before the Final Selection, he lived in the forest on the mountain, until one day he decided to go on a journey to become stronger. He always believed that he had never had parents, but later he learns that he was born into a dysfunctional family, whose father often drank and beat his wife, so she, taking the newborn Inosuke, ran away from the family to the temple of the Cult of Eternal Paradise, founded by the demon Douma. He accepted them to live in his temple. It is worth mentioning that Douma considered Kotoha beautiful, but very stupid. His mother loved to sing one lullaby for Inosuke, in which she only occasionally changed the words. One day, having accidentally seen what kind of things Douma was actually doing, she fled in fear with her child into the forest. Pursued by the demon, she ran to the cliff, where she had to release Inosuke into the river, in which he was later found by wild boars.

Plot (part 1)

The arch of the final selection Inosuke participated in the Final Selection at the top of Fujikasan, but his presence is hinted at only by Oyakata's words about the fifth winner when the crow informs him of the selection results. The arch of the house with drums Inosuke wanders into Kegai's drum house in search of demons he could kill to become stronger, but finds himself trapped for 3 days. He first appears when Zenitsu and Shoichi are looking for a way out, being separated from Tanjiro and Teruko. Zenitsu opens a door that he thinks is an exit, and desperately opens another one when the first door fails. Behind the second door is Inosuke, who immediately knocks down another door before going down the open corridor. The Arch of Mount Natagumo After resting at the crow butterfly estate, Tanjiro encourages hunters to go to Mount Natagumo. After seeing how one of the fighters was injured, Inosuke immediately acts as the vanguard and orders Tanjiro and Zenitsu to follow him. Tanjiro follows Inosuke, while the frightened Zenitsu remains near the mountain, refusing to enter. After meeting with another fighter who is hiding from demons in the bushes, Inosuke and Tanjiro find out that the fighters who came on the mission are killing each other while under enemy control. Trying not to kill the demon-controlled fighters, Inosuke uses his "Seventh Fang: Spatial Overview" to find the mother of the spider family. The friends manage to hang the demon-controlled hunters from trees to immobilize them, but immediately the demon breaks the neck of the controlled fighters. With a heavy heart, they go to the location of the demon. On the way, Inosuke and Tanjiro encounter a headless puppet, in a battle with which Inosuke almost dies. Fortunately, Tanjiro saves him and encourages Inosuke to fight side by side. Despite Inosuke's resistance, thanks to Tanjiro's instructions, he was able to cut the headless doll diagonally. Tanjiro then defeats the Spider Mother.

Plot (part 2)

Tanjiro, seeing Inosuke's wounds, tries to force him down the mountain, but is refused. They catch a glimpse of a demon girl that Tanjiro couldn't smell because of the ubiquitous smell of rot. The demon girl is calling her Father. He is a powerful demon, although he is not one of the Moons. Due to the shock wave, Tanjiro has to leave his Father on Inosuke, and the latter manages to injure the demon's hand, forcing him to transform. Inosuke tries his best, but his blades break, and the demon, taking advantage, strangles the guy. Fortunately, Giyu, who suddenly appeared, kills his Father and saves Inosuke's life. Inosuke, despite his severe injuries, tries to challenge Tomioka, but finds himself tied up. This event somewhat brings Inosuke down to earth, he begins to wonder if he is really as strong as he thinks. As a result, he is freed from his bonds by the arriving kakushi.

Abilities

Natural abilities Improved sense of touch — due to the fact that Inosuke grew up in the mountains, his sense of touch is simply phenomenal. He can feel small vibrations in the air and even someone's gaze on him, especially if they look at him with hostility. Resistance to poisoning — Inoske was able to resist the effects of the deadly poison of the Sixth Highest Moon - this means that he could develop immunity to almost all types of toxic substances. But, according to Aoi Kanzaki, his immunity can also interfere with the action of any antidotes. Flexibility — Inosuke is extremely flexible: he is able to move joints and change the location of internal organs in his body at will. Increased Strength — Inosuke's physical strength was enough to easily throw Tanjiro into the air with one powerful throw.

The breath of the beast — breath that Inosuke created with the help of training in the mountains. Combining this breathing and an improved sense of touch, he uses the following techniques: First Fang: Pierce and extract — Inosuke stabs at the neck with two blades. Second Fang: Cut and tear — Double diagonal cut with both swords. Third Fang: Cut and Absorb — Simultaneous horizontal strikes towards the target's throat. Relationships (part 1)

Tanjiro Kamado First of all, Inosuke sees Tanjiro as an opponent — he likes to compete with stronger opponents. Tanjiro has a positive effect on him. Inosuke learns that other people usually do not want to harm him, that they are ready to help him not out of fear, but simply because it is in the order of things. They quickly become very good friends who are ready to cheer each other up and share their observations, even if they are not serious. Zenitsu Agatsuma By nature, Zenitsu is absolutely the opposite of Inosuke. Inosuke is always ready for a fight, unlike Zenitsu, who prefers not to start it first. On the other hand, they are both very hot-tempered, so they can create motivation for each other. Together they form a very strong duo, capable of resisting even the Highest Moon, for example, Ducky. Takaharu and his grandfather Ordinary village people who taught Inosuke the human language. Takaharu is a very short-tempered and foul-mouthed boy, these qualities have been passed on to Inosuke in one way or another. When Inosuke was a little boy, he often ran from the forest to their house and listened to his grandfather read various books to him. Kotoha Hashibira Kotoha is Inosuke's mother. However, she died very early, so Inosuke does not remember her. The girl loved her son very much and often sang to him the same lullaby, which Inosuke remembered in one of the battles. Nezuko Kamado At the moment of their first meeting, Inosuke tries to kill Nezuko, but later becomes neutral towards her, since she is the sister of Tanjiro, whom he respects. Over time, they get closer, and Inosuke sometimes spends time with her, and after the battle with Mudzan, he often helps in everyday life.

Relationships (part 2)

Aoi Kanzaki At the first meeting, she does not have the most positive opinion about Inoska. After the red light arch, we see their dialogue: Aoi calls the guy a "pain", and he calls her a "baby". Their last contact is seen in chapter 204, when Inosuke tries to steal food, to which Aoi gives him a tray of food specially prepared for the guy. Inosuke smiles and blushes, expressing gratitude to Aoi. They have a descendant, which means that they are already getting married and having children outside the plot. Kanao Tsuyuri They barely interact with each other until the Infinity Fortress arch, when Inosuke meets Kanao, who is fighting the second highest moon, Douma. Inosuke, speaking about Shinobu, sees sadness in Kanao's eyes and realizes that Shinobu is dead. They are united by a common sadness and a desire for revenge. During the fight, Kanao helps Inosuke mentally by trying to contain his rage. After the fight with Douma, Kanao helps Inosuke reach the next battlefield.
