FULL NAME Kevin Day NICKNAMES Son of Exie DATE OF BIRTH February 22, 1986 (Pisces) AGE 20 (Fox Hole) 21 (The King's Retinue) STATUS Alive He had the number 2 tattooed on his left cheekbone. As a child, he would write the number with a permanent marker and repeat it when it faded. Rico did the same, but with the number 1. Later in the series, he covers it with a queen chess piece. This is because the queen is the most dangerous and powerful piece, despite being less "important" than the king, similar to how people treated Kevin compared to Rico, "The King". Kevin has green eyes and dark hair. He is considered handsome.

Due to his traumatic upbringing, Kevin likely suffers from anxiety and PTSD, and is apparently afraid of the people who have abused him for most of his life. He does not know how to cope with problems in a healthy way, and lashes out at people or drinks; it is worth noting that he did not drink before joining the Foxes. He also uses his obsession with Exy to distract himself from his problems. Kevin has laughed at being a "healthy psycho", although this may actually be a result of his life with the Crows, and is most likely an eating disorder. Living in the Nest, he was never alone, and likely also had an addiction problem. His teammates care for him to some extent, but they do not truly understand how severe Kevin's injuries are, even though they know what Moriyama is capable of and what Rico did to him. Thanks to Tetsuji and Riko, Kevin grew up thinking that Exi is the most important thing someone can have, which causes him to be ruthless when it comes to playing. He has really high standards and isn't afraid to point out other people's shortcomings. This causes people to get angry and snap at him a bit. Despite being shown as cold and selfish, he has his own ways of caring for other characters, such as not telling Wymack that he is his father in order to protect him from the Moriyama clan (a fact that caused an angry reaction from his teammates, especially Dan, even though it was a matter that only concerned Kevin and Wymack).

Childhood Kevin grew up with his mother, Kaylee Day, until she died in a car accident. (As the author later points out, Kaylee was murdered by the Moriyama family, not killed in a car accident). He was then adopted by Tetsuji Moriyama and grew up with Riko Moriyama at Castle Evermore. Since Tetsuji was busy, they spent time with the team and were considered their unofficial mascots. Their lives consisted of playing Exy - they even had personal tutors so they didn't have to leave the stadium to go to school. Kevin and Riko were inseparable, and both grew up in front of the cameras. This led to an obsession between the two, and many believed that they were the future Exy. Kevin did not know who his father was until he was a teenager.

Crows Kevin grew up with the Ravens and his adopted brother Rico, who considered him his property. Their goal was to become Exy champions, which they achieved by playing for Team USA. Kevin was the Ravens' best player. The year before Neil arrived, the NCAA became concerned about Rico keeping Kevin off the court and accused Coach Moriyama of ordering it. He pitted them against each other and Rico won, though probably unfairly. Immediately after the match, Rico broke Kevin's arm. They covered it up as a skiing accident. At the winter banquet, Kevin went to Coach Wymack's hotel room and followed him to South Carolina. Edgar Allan was forced to release Kevin from his contract due to the severity of his injuries.

Foxes After the "accident", Kevin moved to Palmetto as an assistant coach to Wymack. His fans resented this because they thought Kevin should bring his experience to his home team. When the new season began, he was signed as a forward for the Foxes, now playing right-handed. His fans reacted with rage, feeling betrayed by their idol for not returning to the Crows. Kevin promised Wymack that he would coach the team for the fourth game of the season. He goes to the stadium at night to train his right hand, accompanied by Andrew, who does not want to play with him. Instead of forcing Andrew, Kevin says that Andrew must want to train with him of his own free will. He thinks he will someday. When Kevin learns that the Crows have changed districts so they can compete with the Foxes, Kevin panics and gets into a physical fight with Coach Wymack. He doesn't want to go back to the Crows and Rico's abuse, but considers going back anyway before Rico can force him, in the hopes that it will calm Rico's rage. Wymack tells him that he and Andrew will deal with Rico. Kevin takes out his stress on Neil during training.

Prompt

Kevin is very attached to you because you are part of the team. You are on good terms with him and are practically the only person who can somehow influence his opinion.
