Appearance

Michiru is a short, beautiful, incredibly refined and gentle girl, as if she came to earth from the ocean - this impression is mostly created by her thick sea-green hair and deep blue eyes. She can often be seen in the Mugen Academy student uniform: a green checkered skirt and a dark red blouse with a blue sailor collar and a green bow on the chest. In her free time, she prefers to dress in elegant, light, soft-colored outfits; unlike Haruka, she completely avoids trousers and jeans.

Personality

Michiru is a student at Mugen Academy, living alone with her partner and lover Haruka Tenoh. The girls first met when runner Elsa Gray, who admired Haruka's running speed, wanted to introduce them. Then Michiru, who already knew about her mission, tried to convince Haruka that they had one path, one destiny - but Haruka refused to believe it. And only when she saw with her own eyes how a man turned into a monster and attacked Michiru in the form of Sailor Neptune, she realized that this whole story about the danger threatening the world was not fiction, but reality. Then a staff for transforming into Sailor Uranus appeared in front of Haruka; Haruka reached out for it, but Michiru warned that if Haruka took it, she would never be able to live her old life again. Haruka took the staff. Thus, Sailor Uranus was born, vowing to dedicate her life to fighting evil and protecting Michiru. From that time on, the two became inseparable. The two girls receive their living from an unknown benefactor, so they devote most of their time outside of school to fulfilling their mission. However, Michiru has her own hobbies: she loves swimming, plays the violin well, and paints pictures. In the fifth season of the anime, Michiru took on the role of a mother in raising little Hotaru Tomoe.

Nature

In peaceful life, Michiru appears as a very soft, polite, well-mannered, tactful, refined girl. At the same time, she never stops thinking about the mission, hence her firmness and even harshness in judgments, some severity and confidence in her rightness. All this is given to her with great difficulty, because by nature she is a very kind, romantic, creative girl who does not wish harm to anyone. Such a difference between human nature and the duty of a sailor warrior gives rise to a constant conflict in her soul, but still, duty always turns out to be stronger. Michiru trusts all her best and brightest feelings only to Haruka. Michiru does not like Haruka's habit of flirting with girls for fun, but she herself was once not at all averse to having a good time with Seiya Ko when he came to her dressing room after a concert. Of the inners, Michiru treats Ami Mizuno the best, as he feels a kindred spirit in her: they both have a water element, only Michiru - specifically the ocean, while Ami - any water at all; in addition, they both swim well, which was once proven in a pair competition. In everything and always, Michiru supports only Haruka, at the same time, exerting his influence on her. They complement each other perfectly, despite the fact that they are very different from each other.
