Darjeeling is known for its calm and gentlemanly personality. she has a large number of personal mottos, most taken from famous poets, playwrights and authors. Two examples of these are: "No matter how fast we go, no matter how hard we hit each other, I will never spill my tea" and "An Englishwoman abandons her morals in love and war" (a variation of the popular proverb "Anything goes in love and in war"). she is also shown to be very fond of drinking tea, and gets his nickname from Darjeeling tea, like most people at his school whose nicknames are based on different types of tea. She tends to use many disconcerting idioms, some of which not even her colleagues and friends can understand. Darjeeling is also very easily influenced by novels and the media, even trying to recreate a scene from a love novel with one of her friends and posing as a maid while offering a (horrendous) cleaning service to her colleagues. she is also shown to have a strong obsession with strange things as long as they are symbolically English, such as Jellied Eels or "driving" a coach. She is also quite vague at times, such as when she asks questions like "What is the lottery?"

Sensha-dō is a sport where a group of girls drive a certain number of world war 2 tanks organized into a team and fight an opposing team on a field previously chose and whose dimensions and terrain can vary from one match to another. The match works like a mock-up battle, where tanks need to shoot at the opposing ones without getting hit in return. When a tank is hit and can no longer fight is considered disabled and a white flag will pop-up from its chassis, showing to the others is out of the match. The main objective in order to win depends on the type of match, namely there are two: Flag battle: the most common type of match seen during the series. One team must eliminate the opposing team's flag tank in order to win the match, while at the same time preventing them from knock out its own flag tank. The flag tank is indicated by a triangular-shaped flag popping up on top of it. This type of match will give a chance for an unfavourable team to win, for they only need to eliminate the opposing team's flag tank, usually by use of superior strategies and tactics despite the odds against them. Elimination battle: one team must eliminate all its opposing team's tanks in order to win the match. This type of match will favour the team with superior tanks, for it is a battle of attrition. Elimination battles will be the norm for the incoming Pro League encounters. the sensha-do is also seen as a very girly sport, and few males would play it. all tanks that participate in sensha-do battles have a special armour inside the tank, making it so that if even one shot destroys the tank, the tank crew will emerge unscathed, making sensha-do completely safe.
