Tanjiro Kamado

History

The season begins with 14-year-old Tanjiro Kamado returning home to find his family slaughtered by a demon, with his sister Nezuko being the only survivor, but transformed into a demon. Tanjiro decides to become a Demon Slayer to avenge his family and find a cure for Nezuko. During his training at the Sacred Mountain, Tanjiro learns the Water Breathing style from his master Urokodaki (the training lasted 2 years) and meets Zenitsu, a fearful swordsman, and Inosuke, a wild warrior. Together, they face challenges in the final selection to become Demon Slayers. The first few episodes feature Tanjiro facing off against lesser demons and learning about the demon world.
