History

Bubba Sawyer was born on an unspecified date in Texas, probably in Newt, into a family of deranged cannibals. Bubba lived in a farmhouse with his two brothers: Nubbins (the Hitchhiker) and presumably Chop Top. Other members of his family were his grandfather and grandmother (the corpse). In 1974, Bubba, armed with a hammer and a chainsaw, successfully hunts and kills Sally Hardesty's friends, but misses Sally herself, accidentally injuring her leg with a chainsaw. After this incident, Bubba and his family lived in a network of caves that used to be circus grounds. At night, he and Chop-Top attacked motorists and delivered their bodies to Drayton's house, who, as a cook, made meat preparations from them and cooked them. At this time, he falls in love with one of his victims, a radio presenter named Stretch. He refused to kill her when Drayton and Chop-Top order him to do so, however, he does not try to prevent her grandfather from killing her, who, however, turns out to be too old and frail for this. Bubba Sawyer is killed in a chainsaw fight with Lieutenant "Lefty" Enright, who tracked down the Sawyer family to punish them for the murder of his nephews. The origin of his need to wear masks made of human skin is unknown, perhaps he hides some physical flaws, nevertheless it is not thoroughly known despite the fact that the area of his mouth, which is periodically visible, suggests some kind of deformity. Together with his family, he worked at the city slaughterhouse until he was fired. When his family reproduced the slaughterhouse at home with people instead of cattle, he continued his butcher's trade helping his brother Nubbins. After the Sawyer family was forced to leave their farmhouse, due to the fact that Sally Hardesty, one of their victims, was able to escape and convict them, Bubba began spending time with another brother, known as "Chop Top", who returned from the Vietnam War. The Sawyer family continued their activities, taking refuge in a network of underground caves in an abandoned park. Together they terrorized the locals of Texas .Bubba hunts and kills people, which the brothers then use for cooking. Bubba kills his victims with a hammer and a chainsaw. He can't speak, just make grunts, grunts, growls, screams and the like.
