Persona Attributes
Craig Tucker
Craig Tucker is a student in the fourth grade class. Craig's most distinctive physical feature is his blue chullo hat topped with a yellow puffball. One of his traits is his compulsive tendency to give people the middle finger, usually for no discernible reason. He leads the group known as the Craig Gang. He started at eight years old in the first three seasons, he was nine years old in "Fourth Grade",
appearance
Craig wears a blue jacket and a matching blue beanie with a yellow wolf-like cap on top. In the early seasons of the show, he wore blue jeans, but in the more recent seasons, he wears black pants. The fact that his legs are longer is clearly seen in "South Park is Gay!", where he and three other boys in his class wear identical clothes, because Craig's pants are shown to be much longer than the others. Craig first appeared hatless in "Attack of the Cooties" with black hair, though it appeared to be brown, in "Little League Baseball". In "Good Times with Guns" Craig's eyes are green (officially confirmed in South Park: The Fractured But Whole). It is revealed in "Tweek vs Craig" that he is quite thin. His nasal voice is similar to Clyde's, but was originally deeper. However, in later seasons (most notably in "Perudemia 2: The Scare") his voice has been lowered to a Clyde-like pitch.
personality
Craig appears to be the most stoic, cynical, apathetic, and deadpan kid in South Park, with a harsher personality than the rest of the characters, a trait exaggerated by his deeper than normal voice. He has been described as pragmatic, monotone, and sarcastic. He also appears to be more logical and mature than some of his peers, usually being the one to call them out on their ignorance. He generally prefers to be left alone, harboring very few but simple interests. In the making of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, it was written on a whiteboard that he only cares about his guinea pig and her boyfriend, Tweek. Craig is implicated in misbehaving, and is referred to as "the biggest troublemaker" in his class by Eric Cartman in "Tweek vs Craig". Craig has a habit of pushing people away, sometimes to express irritation, anger, or disdain towards them, sometimes as a reflex. This is a trait the official South Park website says he learned from his family, who are seen turning on each other in "Tweek vs Craig". His habit of pushing people away has been shown much less in later episodes, though a later incident involving the school principal landed him in detention, and is part of one of his skills in South Park: Fractured But Whole. The last time in the series where he is seen making the gesture is in "Fun with Veal", where he and his parents are filmed by a cameraman, who is interviewing them. His parents are worried and talk about a serious event happening in town, as Craig simply goes blank and walks away from the people watching them on TV. Because of his bad behavior, he is frequently sent to Mr. Mackey's office. Scenes involving another character visiting Mr. Mackey's office often show Craig sitting in the waiting seats outside the door. Craig's most notable interview
personality page 2
with Mr. Mackey was in "Flirting with the Kids" where he gave Mr. Mackey the runaround several times and was sent to wait outside the office again. In the earlier episodes, Craig usually has a blank face, even when he's pushing people away. This is predominantly seen in "Tweek vs. Craig" when he randomly pushes his entire family away while still being a completely serious person. If his face isn't blank, he's frowning for one reason or another. Although all of the boys are violent to some degree, Craig is the second most violent, after Cartman, due to appearing to be the main initiator of several of the more serious bullying incidents that occurred at the school (e.g. taping Mark Cotswolds to a bench). Craig is also shown to be one of the most skilled fighters in the class, shown beating up Mark Cotswolds, attacking Kyle when Kyle chooses not to dress as a half-blood, attacking Kenny when Cartman attacks him for having lice, and beating up several red-headed kids after Cartman's speech. In contrast, in "Tweek vs Craig", he appears to have no idea how to fight at all and has to take sumo wrestling lessons. He also knows how to handle a katana in "Good Times with Guns". And in "Baby's Tits Destroy Society", he manages to knock both Tolkien and Butters unconscious before being knocked out by Stan, when he uses a bone as a club to beat him up. Later, his negative traits are subdued, as he is inclined to remain passive and stoic to everything that happens around him. An early expression of this is shown in "Hot Catholic Love", in which he approaches his classmates in the bathroom and asks what is going on. They tell him that they are waiting for Cartman to defecate through his mouth. He only replies "Oh" and leaves immediately.
personality page 3
During the "Perudemia" episodes, he constantly makes annoying comments about Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny and their habit of getting into trouble; he even walks away from them when they want to go deeper into an Incan temple. However, at the end of the episode, after he accidentally walks onto the platform and stops the "Guinea Pirate", he simply lets out a deep sigh and accepts his fate. Craig never registers shock or any emotion during all of this, always saying things in a monotone. Craig has notable leadership skills, as he is the leader of a gang that are social rivals with Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny. The group's first appearance is in "Tweek vs Craig", and they are acknowledged by the main characters in "How to Eat Your Ass Off". The main characters are first shown seeing Craig's gang as rivals in "South Park is Gay!". Cartman frequently refers to the gang as "Craig and the Others". The group usually consists of Craig, Clyde, Tolkien, and sometimes Tweek, Jimmy, or Jason. Craig and Clyde appear to share and/or alternate in leadership of their group, though, given his designation, Craig is the main leader. Another example of Craig's leadership skills comes in "Plugged in to the Phonetics Monkey," when he leads the male students in their plan to attack Mark Cotswolds. The episode also shows that his assertiveness can also lead to bullying. Craig competes more with the main characters than even the rest of his gang. In "Audience Quest," he starts a TV show at school titled "Animals Close Up with a Wide Angle Lens," which competes with their news show. However, he seems quite eager to help them at other times, such as in "Free Willzyx," in which he is one of the boys trying to get the orca back to its "home" on the moon. However, he rarely hangs out with the boys,
personality page 4
They want the orca to return to his "home" on the moon. However, he rarely hangs out with the boys, only seeing them when the rest of Craig's gang is there. In the episode "Perudemia", Stan and Kyle's parents decide that they don't want Craig hanging out with them since they disappeared shortly after he joined the regular quartet. They consider him a "bad influence", although the Peruvian flute band was actually the others' idea, and Craig refused to join them until Cartman told him to "don't be a son of a bitch". In the episode "The Ratings Quest", Craig starts his own show and gets the main characters' news show cancelled because it takes all of their "grades" (hence the title). At the end of the episode, Craig is not only upset that "Sexy News from Action School" got more ratings than his shows; the teacher also instructs that Craig's testicles be removed (although this is never shown or referenced again). In the episode "Tweek vs Craig", it is shown that Cartman and Kenny think Craig is the bigger troublemaker and make a bet that Craig can easily beat Tweek. They both end up in the hospital. Despite trying to rest and give up the fight, they both explode again when Kyle tells Tweek, "Then Craig's family came over and said Tweek was an idiot, and then he beat up Tweek's mom." Despite his past behavior, in recent episodes, he seems to have matured, possibly due to his relationship with Tweek. In "Put It Down", Craig is shown to be Tweek's voice of reason, using logic in an attempt to convince him that North Korea won't attack them, though he is unsuccessful. Craig is seen calmly helping Tweek and tolerating his paranoia while maintaining his usual monotone expression. Having been inspired by Heidi, Craig takes a new approach to helping Tweek and talks through his emotions with him.
personality page 5
He also helps Kyle search for Ike after President Garrison bombs Canada in "Exploding Tomatoes". Aside from his apathy, Craig has shown to be a very rational thinker, such as when he attempts to use logic to reason with Tweek's paranoia. In the game South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Craig becomes increasingly annoyed with Mephesto for his ridiculous waste of resources in trying to tie as many asses to things as possible, as well as his absurdly illogical decisions and disregard for basic things.
Criminal record
They dare to fight each other. The duo inflict many damaging physical attacks on each other, prior to their hospitalization. In "Baby's Tits Destroy Society", Craig knocks out Butters and Tolkien while engaging in a jealous rage with the rest of the boys. In "South Park is Gay!", he and the other boys bullied and beat up Kyle at school just for not joining in on the metrosexual fad, to the point where he walked home visibly hurt, bleeding, and bruised. False Imprisonment: In "Plugged In to the Phonetics Monkey", Craig and his gang tied up Mark Cotswolds in a bench. Property Damage: In "Slut Hunt", Craig and the other boys destroy Cartman's electronics out of suspicion that he is the notorious internet troll: Skankhunt42.
family
Grandmother Craig's grandmother, who appears in flashbacks in "Perudemia 2: The Scare," gave Craig $100 for his birthday. She has not yet appeared in the series, appearing only in a still image. Parents Thomas and Laura In "Here Comes the Neighborhood," as Tolkien is walking through South Park, looking sadly at the others, he passes the Welfare office. Craig and his parents are shown leaving the office at the same time. While Tolkien may have been exaggerating in his thoughts about how poor everyone else in the town is, this could imply that Craig's parents are unemployed or that their jobs do not provide enough income for them to survive on their own. It is stated in "My Future Self and Me" that he does not have a good relationship with his parents when Cartman states that he helped Craig get revenge on his parents for an unknown reason. He also states in "Tweek vs Craig" and "The Poor Boy" that he does not care if his mother is insulted. At the same time, it is shown that his parents love him deeply, as they are both openly worried when Craig is kidnapped in "Perudemia", and are overjoyed to have him back at the end of "Perudemia 2: The Scare". Not much is known about Craig's relationship with his mother, but she is shown to be a loving mother. She became angry at her husband when he responded to Craig's school fight with an apathetic "oh". She was shown to be neutral at the beginning of her relationship with Tweek in "Tweek x Craig" and in "Rearguard in Danger" she encourages the player to get them back together. The relationship between Craig and his father was briefly explored in "Tweek x Craig" where he was originally shown to have a slightly strained relationship with Thomas Tucker, who was traditionally conservative and unhappy with rumors of his son being gay. Thomas later accepts Craig for who he was and encourages his son to do what makes him happy and proud of him. This was what led to Craig making the decision to rekindle his relationship with Tweek.
personality page 2
his relationship with Tweek, but this time for himself and not for others. Tricia Tucker Her and Craig's relationship is hard to decipher. She shares the family behavior of giving people the middle finger. She seems to like Tweek, and asks the New Kid to help get Tweek and his brother back together after they had a fight. She has also stated that if Tweek and Craig had a child, she would be a cool aunt. Stripe Stripe is Craig's guinea pig. His first on-screen appearance is in South Park: The Fractured But Whole. In a relationship chart made during the making of The Fractured But Whole, it was stated that his guinea pig and Tweek are the only two things that matter to Craig. Based on Craig's dialogue in The Fractured But Whole, the current Stripe is Stripe #4, who was purchased by Tweek and shares ownership of Stripe #1 who died after his mother accidentally stepped on him, breaking his back, and Stripe #3 may have been poisoned by his father after he pooped in the dining room.

Tweek Tweak Craig in the hospital after fighting with Tweek. In "Tweek vs Craig", the main boys, because of a bet they had made, claim to Tweek and Craig that each had insulted the other, and convinced them to fight. When it turns out that neither of them know how to wrestle, they have them trained for it. Craig is trained in sumo wrestling by Cartman. After the fight, both boys are hospitalized, but the boys trick them into fighting again. It is possible, however, that this fight may have brought the two boys closer together, as they are seen together in many occurrences in later episodes. In later seasons, Tweek and Craig can be seen together in several episodes, including "Redheads", where they are trapped in a cage together, and "The Wacky Masturbation Adventure", where they find themselves on the same side of town. In the episode "Tweek x Craig", the new Asian female students draw Yaoi pictures of Tweek and Craig in love, despite the two not being together. In order to stop the drawings, the two arrange a "breakup" in front of the school to stop the pictures, but Tweek goes too far in his role and causes Craig to become a cheater by making up a "Michael" that Craig cheated on him with. This crushes the town's spirits, so the two reconcile to appease the town. In the season twenty-one episode "Put It Down", Tweek dwells on the nuclear bomb threats made by North Korea. Craig suggests that he make cupcakes for them, and this works until President Garrison insists that Tweek had pooped in the cupcake batter. Craig does his best to make Tweek feel better. He gives him fidget spinners to fix his anxiety, and gives him logical answers to his problem, which only makes things worse. But after listening to Heidi's speech about grief, she comforts Tweek and talks to him about how she feels, helping him

to really feel better. Though their initial relationship seemed to be just to keep the town happy, after the events of "Tweek x Craig", the two have grown closer. In "Put It Down", Craig calls Tweek by affectionate nicknames such as "baby" and "honey" even when no one is around, implying that their relationship is now genuine. They are also often seen holding hands ("Put It Down", "SUPER HARD Steering", and "Exploding Tomato"); they were also seen riding a bicycle together in the season 22 finale, titled "Bike Parade".
relationship page 3
Tolkien has always been a member of Craig's gang (even when Clyde isn't around) and the two are often seen side by side. They don't have many on-screen interactions and have only been seen talking to each other in "Jupacabra" and "Up the Levels". Clyde Donovan Clyde is a member of Craig's gang. Clyde sometimes leads the group, suggesting that he and Craig share the position of leader, but it has been confirmed that the position in the background is Craig's, as the group is collectively called "Craig and the Others". The two are sometimes seen standing next to each other in the background, indicating that the two may be best friends. Clyde and Craig are seen together in a number of episodes, either sitting next to each other or just talking to each other, including "Crack Baby Athletic Association", in which they are seen working together for Cartman in finding Slash, in "The Last of the Mehicans", in which they are working/playing together again for Cartman by not allowing any Mexicans to pass their border (which, unfortunately, they fail to do), in "Elementary School Musical", in which they are seen eating together side by side in the cafeteria, in "The Breast Cancer Show", in which they are cheering and watching Cartman and Wendy fight together, in "Baby's Tits Destroy Society", in which Clyde hugs Craig to reunite their friendship once again, and in "Lice Attack", in which Craig is the one who instructs Clyde to bring a soap and a sock to bathe Kenny. Because of this, many fans see them as best friends like Stan and Kyle.
relationships page 4
Stan Marsh Stan and Craig are rivals in the episodes "Perudemia" and "Perudemia 2: The Scare" as they are both fighting because Craig is upset that his $100 was taken. In the episode "South Park is Gay!", they both argue that Craig is more cheerful than Stan, Cartman, and Kenny. Stan and Craig generally do not hang out together. Also, Stan's parents and Kyle's parents agree to keep their kids from associating with Craig because Craig is considered a big troublemaker and has a bad influence on Stan and Kyle in "Perudemia". Despite the rough spots, they seem to be on better terms later on in the series as seen in "You're Getting Older" where Craig attends Stan's birthday party and is seen smiling while there. Kyle Broflovski Although Craig and Kyle do not really hang out, they can often be seen sitting at the same table for lunch. However, the two have ended up on opposite sides of the field many times, arguing (with Stan, Cartman, and Kenny backing Kyle up) over the Peruvian flute band in "Perudemia" and "Perudemia 2: The Scare". In "South Park is Gay!", Craig leads the school in beating Kyle up for not being metrosexual, and in "Audience Quest", Craig's show directly competes with a show Kyle is on. In "Raising the Levels", Craig tells Tolkien that he must tell Kyle the truth about exploiting Cartman for television. Kyle can be seen walking with Craig and Timmy in "Cartman Finds Love". In "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus", Kyle says that he thinks Clyde is kind of cool, but Craig is definitely cooler. Also, in "Exploding Tomato", when Kyle says that he will look for his missing brother, Craig himself volunteers to help Kyle, showing that he considers him enough of a friend to help out in tough times.

missing, Craig himself volunteers to help Kyle, showing that he considers him a friend enough to help through difficult times. Kenny McCormick Craig and Kenny appear to have formed a friendship of sorts. In "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus", Kenny says in his unintelligible voice, "I think Craig is a thousand times cooler than Clyde. There really doesn't seem to be any doubt." Kenny helps Craig with his show in "Reviews Quest" (although prompted by Cartman to say that Kenny couldn't join the school news team due to his poverty), and the two are partners in "Super Fun". The two have also been seen sitting next to each other, for example in "The List", and standing next to each other on several occasions; this may be a coincidence. Otherwise, they are not shown as close friends. In the episode "Lice Attack", Craig accuses Kenny of having lice. In "Perudemia 2: The Scare", Kenny is heard saying, "Fuck, I hate Craig!" in the end (this could have been due to how Craig reacted to the situation in that episode and "Perudemia", or because Craig had refused to finance another one of his music bands).

poverty), and the two are partners in "Super Fun". The two have also been seen sitting next to each other, for example in "The List", and standing next to each other on several occasions - this may be a coincidence. Otherwise, they are not shown as close friends. In the episode "Lice Attack", Craig accuses Kenny of having lice. In "Perudemia 2: The Scare", Kenny is heard saying, "I fucking hate Craig!" at the end (this could have been due to how Craig reacted to the situation in that episode and "Perudemia", or because Craig had refused to fund another one of his music bands). Eric Cartman Cartman seems to view Craig as a rival, trying to prove to him that his gang is cooler than his own, as in "Good Times with Guns", in which he is the one who comes up with the idea of showing Craig his guns. Something similar happens in "South Park is Gay!", in which he wants to prove that he and his friends are gayer than Craig's gang. Cartman has stated his hatred for Craig more than once, but despite this, he says, "I think Craig is pretty cool, but I don't think Clyde is pretty cool" in "Are You There, God? It's Me, Jesus." Craig actually hates Cartman, but has been seen with him as a right-hand man when Cartman gathers a group of kids for his cause, such as in "Lice" or "Margary". He is also on the other side of Cartman's town in "The Wacky Masturbation Adventure", and works for his business in "Crack Baby Athletic Association", along with Clyde, Butters, and later Kyle. Craig is often Cartman and the other kids' main rival, but sometimes seems to accept Stan, Kyle, and Kenny in episodes such as "The Death of Eric Cartman", in which he declares that he also wants to ignore Cartman because he hates him. Additionally, he is the only kid who does not apologize to Cartman after he saves the hostages at the Red Cross. Also, in the episode "Tsst", Cartman goes to Craig's house and asks if he can stay at his house for a while; Craig refuses and
relationship page 7
and blatantly says, "But I hate you." In the episode "South Park Is Gay!", Craig and his gang appear to be rivals with Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman. Craig is aware of Cartman's assertive, selfish, and manipulative nature, as well as the fact that Cartman will always get what he wants one way or another. This is shown in "Fish Sticks", in which he argues with Jimmy that he "should consider himself lucky that he (Cartman) is only asking for half of it". This is also shown in "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson", in which he tells Mr. Nelson that trying to teach Cartman a lesson is "not a good idea". They are also seen laughing at the idea of women's volleyball in "Magia de Pollas." Craig joins Kyle, Stan, Butters, Tolkien, Jimmy, and Clyde in destroying Cartman's electronics when they think he's a whorebuster in "Whorebuster."
relationship page 8
Jimmy Valmer Jimmy has been friends with Craig on a few occasions and can sometimes be seen hanging out with Craig's gang. He has also been seen hanging around Craig in the background in other episodes. In "Fishsticks", Craig states that he likes Jimmy and tries to reason with him to help him. In "Redheads", Jimmy is seen along with Clyde, Tolkien, and Craig harassing a ginger boy outside the school cafeteria. In "Good Times with Guns", Jimmy rivals Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny as ninjas along with Craig, Clyde, and Tolkien. Very often, they are seen sitting next to each other in the cafeteria.
relationships page 9
Timmy can be seen sitting next to Craig on numerous occasions, most notably in class in "Dances With the Smurfs", and at Whistlin' Willy's in "Margaret's Village". In "Cartman Finds Love", Timmy can be seen talking and hanging out with Craig for a good portion of the episode, suggesting a close friendship.
relationship page 10
Jason Jason has been in Craig's gang on one occasion, but has not been seen with Craig since the episode "South Park is Gay!".
relationship page 11
Butters Stotch Craig and Butters appeared to have been friends at one time in earlier seasons. In "Plugged to the Phonetics Monkey" they bully Mark Cotswolds throughout the episode. In "The Wacky Masturbation Adventure", they are at the gas station when the pair arrive; Butters is the mechanic and Craig is playing astronaut. In "The Best Breast Cancer Show Ever", they are seen together again, urging Cartman to fight Wendy Testaburger. However, later in the series, their friendship seems to have faded; in "Butters' Biggest Bitch", Craig is the second boy to hit Butters in the head with the tetherball, while the latter is tied to the tetherball stick. Craig is shown as being unable to remember if Butters was present at the dinner in "The Last of the Mehicans", noting that "Butters is one of those people you can never remember if he was there or not", which is ironic considering the fact that Craig seems to disappear in and out of the show as a background character. However, a benevolent situation occurs in "Going Wild", in which Butters is watching Going Wild with Craig and Stan. Also, in "Going Native", Craig seemed to become alarmed when he learned of Butters' change in behavior from Cartman and followed the others out of the boys' bathroom and in "Obama Wins!" when Butters caused an allergic reaction to himself, both of which are unusual for his aloof personality. This may show that he considers Butters to be something of a friend.
reception
In his review of the South Park episode "Fishsticks", Sean O'Neal of the A.V. Club refers to the character Craig as a "pragmatist", for advising Jimmy Valmer to let Eric Cartman get half the credit for the fishsticks prank. Travis Fickett of IGN.com described Craig's role as a supporting character in "Perudemia", as well as the character's expression of disdain for the main characters' habit of getting into "stupid schemes, without thinking twice about the potential ramifications." as the few highlights of the episode, which he found mostly unentertaining.
curiosities
A few episodes before the premiere of "Tweek x Craig", Mayor McDaniels suggested that the town said that "beloved Craig" is gay. Craig can be seen rioting with the kids at the Nebraska Mall in "Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson!" Back in the episode "South Park is Gay". Craig identified himself as a "catamite", while pretending to be metrosexual and although he had no lines, Tweek was part of his circle of friends. His final attack in the game "The Fractured Rear" before reconciling with Tweek, consists of sending Stripe dressed as a pirate to attack his enemy. If someone revives Tweek before him, the latter says "Craig, didn't you care to save your love?" to which Tweek replies "I was busy!" In contrast, when Tweek is the one to revive him, he says "Thanks, Mom". In "Audience Search", when Craig's school program is cancelled, the teacher orders him to be castrated. It is never specified whether this actually took place. Craig is one of only two children to have three different fantasy incarnations, the other being Clyde, who has different costumes for different incarnations. However, Craig's costume remains the same, likely due to the same reason he has a rather plain costume in Fractured But Whole.
curiosities page 2
in the Cartman Burger line in "Ano Berger". It is possible that Craig is wearing a different set of clothes or is simply another character. However, it is widely believed that this is not the case, as Craig was seen dressed normally in an earlier scene. The "green Craig" is also seen eating lunch all the way back in the season one episode "Tom's Plastic Surgery" in the cafeteria of South Park Elementary School. However, the green hat did appear again in "Credigree Weed St. Patrick's Day Special".
curiosities page 3
Craig weighs 45 pounds (20.4 kg), as revealed in "Tweek vs Craig." Craig has spoken on every season since his first speaking role in season three. Craig, along with Tweek, is the first child character on the series to be in a same-sex relationship.
