Persona Attributes

Joey

Joey is one of the main villains in the series, along with Marky and Dee Dee. He is the self-proclaimed leader and eldest of the cockroach trio. He is named after the singer of the punk rock group The Ramones, Joey Ramone.

Joey's Personality

Online profiles mention that if Joey was capable of talking, he would deliver an inspirational speech discussing the destiny of victimized cockroaches. He is the brains of all the usual pranks and tricks, but Marky and Dee Dee often think his plans are stupid, resulting them both getting beaten by Oggy. He is noted to hope to sometime gain absolute control over Oggy's residence for the civilization of cockroaches and not just himself. He grows annoyed when his leadership is objected to. Despite this, Joey is frequently portrayed as "the brains" of the trio and is shown to regularly formulate new strategies. However, Joey can experience moments of foolishness, and can be said that he is "clever but not wise". This is arguably best shown in "Fly to the Sun" when he was incredibly slow to realize it was life-threatening that Oggy's house was approaching the sun. He is stated to think in black-and-white terms. Joey is the most mischievous member of the roaches. He always pulls impractical jokes and pranks on Oggy with Marky and Dee Dee. On occasions, he has even attempted to send Dee Dee and/or Marky to action in his place, e.g., "Mission Oggy" and "Crackdown on the Fridge". He is shown to be money-grabbing; in his efforts to acquire cash, Joey has stolen a pharaoh's sarcophagus, tried to abduct a baby, attempted to steal a celebrity's diamond, etc. Joey has a temperamental personality and bullies Marky and Dee Dee in later episodes, yet he sees nothing wrong with this. Despite this characteristic, he actually cares about them. In "Sacrificial Special", he grew angry at Oggy after he had suggested Bob sacrifice Marky. He was clearly happy to see that Dee Dee was fine after a projection of Oggy grasped him ("The Cockroaches' Awakening"). There are numerous other examples as well. Joey also picked up an interest in association football, called "soccer" in some countries; in "Penalty Shot" and "Soccer Fever". He gets airsick in "Oggy's 1001 Nights".

Joey's Appearance

Joey is a short, pink-bodied, purple-headed anthropomorphic cockroach. He wears white gloves and has a pink or red right eye (i.e., the artists incidentally switch them ), and a yellow left eye. While reflecting or generally when not in a good mood, he moves slowly and stiffly, and when operating in his plans, he can be fast-moving and stealthy.

Marky

Marky is one of the main villains in the series, along with Joey and Dee Dee. He is named after the drummer of the punk rock band, The Ramones, Marky Ramone.

Marky's personality

Marky is tactful and is often seen as lazy, often not caring what the other two cockroaches are doing. Although he initially enjoys causing mischief just like the other cockroaches, he becomes more relaxed in later episodes, though he still enjoys hanging out with Joey and Dee Dee and continues to cause general mayhem as he often does. At times, he got tired of Joey's controlling antics and sided with Dee Dee when he felt Joey was too assertive. He is sometimes depicted as clumsy and even dizzy, possibly a symptom of soda addiction as seen in the episode Baby Doll, although he is shown to be talented in many areas, including robbery, play mandolin/ukulele and drawing in the following seasons He’s a hopeless romantic and his hobbies include dating puppets and reading books (although it’s never shown in the series). He also has bad breath, as revealed in the episode It's a Small World and Itsy-Bitsy Oggy (how he can stand his own bad breath is debatable, as he couldn't stand the smell of gas in French Fries.)

Marky's appearance

He is a grey-bodied, green-headed roach with pink eyes. His body is a bit thin and he is almost twice the height of his brothers. He has long, thin, curly antennae, and a big prominent upper lip and he sports white gloves as well as many characters in the show. He moves in a lanky, noodly, and wacky way due to his clumsy and crazy nature.

Marky's powers and abilities

Lanky body (In French Fries he doesn’t get hurt by Oggy’s old flyswatter because he passes through the holes) Speed (Despite being often lanky and dizzy, Marky moves around the fastest, examples of this are shown in "Jealousy", in which Oggy doesn't manage to catch up to him in his rampage, and in "Sports Fan", he beats Dee Dee and Joey in a race. It's possibly the reason why he is the one who gets beaten up the least out of all of them, like in "The kitchen boy". One key note though is that in the "Oggy Runner" official mobile game, Joey is faster than him) Seductive voice (In "Jealousy", he is given a satisfying low-pitched voice, however in Season 4 and onwards he is given a very high-pitched voice due to the fact he is given Oggy's sped-up old voice samples but sped up); All-around tool (His companions use his head in many ways, as key to open locks, as seen in "Black and White" and at the beginning of "Oggy Watson" segment of the movie, a plunger in "The cockroaches' awakening", a wrench in "Fragile goods", or as an anvil as seen in "What a dump!") Top-driver skills: In Season 3 he takes control of many vehicles including a forklift, a plane, and Jack's Formula 1 car. Drawing skills: In "The magic pen" he draws a highly detailed menacing dragon. Also, in Season 5, notably in "Marky Da Vinci" and in "Color Conflict", he turns out to be an excellent artist, Next Generation: In Bad hair day, Marky is a very professional hairdresser which makes Piya prefer him to do her hair but Oggy doesn't accept. Like the original series' episode "Baby Doll", he gets foolishly lovestruck over Piya's doll in "The lost doll", to the point where he annoys the other cockroaches. Also, he likes to be a cowboy, but he's not doing this in the American Wild West era. from Season 5

Marky's weakness

Tom-foolery (While not as much as Dee Dee, he sometimes does act clumsily and eventually gets the others hurt unintentionally)

DeeDee

Dee Dee is one of the main villains (alongside Joey and Marky) in the series. He is named after the bassist of the punk rock group The Ramones, Dee Dee Ramone.

DeeDee's personality

Dee Dee is a cockroach who is always hungry and eats everything. He acts a bit childish and immature. He is also the most sensitive as he is seen crying over food, the loss of his brothers and even his failed attempts to appear in an opera show with Jack in one episode . His appetite sometimes reaches insane levels, often leading to the consumption of larger animals or other things (such as hyenas in one case and the effects of a poisonous mushroom in another). another case is insects. He even tried to eat elephants, Oggy, Jack and a wild boar). He is usually the bravest of the group as he has even handled larger animals such as penguins for eggs, octopuses for arms, and a herd of elephants so he can eat one of them. - but his efforts are often wasted when he is beaten. Sometimes, Dee Dee gets tired of Joey's controlling antics and will side with Marky when he feels Joey is being unfair or too assertive.

DeeDee's appearance

He is a blue-bodied, orange-headed roach with green eyes. He is quite overweight and short but is the strongest, as he can lift the other cockroaches and heavy things easily. Due to his cheerful and fun nature, he often smiles with his mouth open and occasionally he hops while moving around. Rarely, while the other cockroaches laugh at Oggy, he is seen with either a bemused or hungry expression.

DeeDees's powers and abilites

Overall roaches abilities like the other two such as flying and using his long antennas/noses: Strength (Many examples prove he is the toughest of the roaches strengths); Rotten sweat (In Caught in a Trap he melts a lock by squeezing a sock with sweat inside); Roar (In Safari so good, his scream scares lions, snakes, and elephants); Crime-solving skills (as seen in "Inspector Dee Dee"); Long tongue (In Carnival’s in Town and Just Married he can use it as an arm while pulling levers and picking baked potatoes up); Karate moves (In Inspector Dee Dee he takes out Octopus with those) Giant mouth (power in the incredible four)

DeeDee's weakness

Size (He’s bulkier than the other cockroaches and it takes more time for him to enter crates); Tom-foolery (It happens occasionally, whether he loses his mind in front of food or he simply moves or acts clumsily. The results involve him screwing up the Cockroaches' plans or getting hurt.)
