Persona Attributes

Appearance

Edward was a large, imposing man with a devilish face and slicked-back light hair. Like the other Wu and Kure, he had eyes with black sclera and white pupils. Edward often wore short-sleeved shirts with bright purple animal prints, dress pants, and sunglasses that covered his distinctive eyes.

Personality

Edward, a recipient of Wu Hei's memories and personality, was both confident and extremely dangerous. He took his business dealings with the Kure Clan very seriously, more so than his affiliation with the Worm. Edward was also quite proud of his Clan, considering them very different, if not superior, to the Worm. However, he was still respectful enough to acknowledge Raian's strength, considering him, at the very least, someone interesting to have fun with. He didn't seem to enjoy fighting much, at least not for himself, given his continually demonstrated preference for ending fights quickly and his annoyance at how the Kure he fought kept getting up. He also proposed to Wu Xing and Kure Erioh that they stop fighting and negotiate, suggesting that he genuinely wanted to reunite the Wu of Westward and Mainline together with the Kure Clan. However, it's equally likely that he was lying, trying to get them to let their guard down, or simply mocking them.

History

According to the main clan leader, Wu Xing, Edward was the leader of the Western faction of the Wu clan, an offshoot group that traveled to the West, similar to their Kure clan relatives in Japan. Edward and his elder brother, Howard Wu, were of English descent. At an undisclosed point, Edward and the rest of the Western Faction turned traitor to the Wu Clan, murdering many of the Wu Clan's elders and later becoming affiliates of the Worm. One of Edward's victims was Wu Xing's beloved mentor, who would later seek revenge against him. At some point, Edward taught the basics of Guihun to The Other Tokita Niko, as the latter wanted his students to learn it. Lu Tian was the only one who proved capable of using the technique, though Edward himself did not know who he was. Thanks to his affiliation with the Worm, Edward would have a clone of himself, Gilbert Wu, and raised him as his son. Through Huisheng, Gilbert inherited his model's memories and personality in the event of Edward's death.
