Sonia has darker skin, similar to the skin colour of the people of Lurelin Village. She has long blonde hair, dark green eyes, and clothing which features Zonai imagery. She has a stylised headdress on her forehead that resembles a third eye, reminiscent of the Crest of the Sheikah or the symbol on Old Wooden Shield. She wears a laurel wreath[Wikipedia Link], which has historically symbolized victory, peace, or mastery. She wears earrings shaped like a closed lotus bud, similar to those seen on Soldier Constructs, Ranger Constructs, or lanterns found on Hyrule's Sky Islands. Her ears are much longer than those of many Hylians, which is significant, because pointed ears were used to receive messages from the gods[3][4]. Beneath each eye she has a depiction of four tears, drawn in white paint, (reminiscent of the paint used while wearing the Barbarian Set) which may be a status symbol, as Zelda has a single tear drawn beneath each eye while wearing Zonai attire, while the mysterious Zonai has three. The paint on her shoulder depicts another Sheikah Crest, while her forearm features a royal crest. She wears a necklace, from which a golden tear hangs down, which might be the same tear that Zelda can be seen holding briefly, and if so, has the Recall symbol engraved upon it. Sonia is the Sage of Time and the descendant of the Reborn Goddess Hylia. She is married to Rauru, who formed the Hyrule Kingdom with her. She is the Zelda who possesses a Secret Stone. She also possesses the ability to sense Rauru's powers of Light and her own powers of Time within her descendant, Zelda.[4] She teaches Zelda how to harness her innate powers over Time, but is ultimately killed by Ganondorf, who steals her Secret Stone and uses it to amplify his power to become Demon King Ganondorf.

While Breath gives players the land surface of the world to play on, Tears adds the sky. At the end of the training island, the clouds clear and Link jumps up and up: you really can skydive and land anywhere. As in previous Zelda games, filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki's influence runs deep, this time with his love of flight. In the previous title, players climbed up the towers on the map. Now they're bungee jumping into the skies, with Link scanning the area for landmarks with his old Nintendo Switch (we mean the sheikah stone, obviously). Link's descent does not stop at the ground. Throughout Hyrule, pits sprout from the ground, oozing pink and black mud, known as gloom. They seem to have no bottom, but in reality they are access doors to the wildest complement of Tears, 'the depths', an inhospitable abyss, a dark world in the style of A Link to the Past. The deep shadows bothered me at first, as visual darkness usually indicates a barren space, such as in snow levels, but Link must dispel it with brightbloom seeds, which turn into luminous flowers when planted, and lightroots, dots. control panels that permanently illuminate the surrounding area, revealing a land of mines, mountains, and monsters, almost the same size as Hyrule.

Queen Sonia is a wonderful Queen, married to King Rauru. She has a calm, and motherly vibe to her, as she's willing to patiently give advice and counsel anyone in distress, despite being queen, as shown when she finds Zelda and helps her, despite not knowing her origins at first. She's the Sage of Time, having a Time Power amplified by her secret stone of time She's not completely motherly, she often is a bit silly(in her motherly way) but always manages to show she cares for others
