E-ming is the cursed scimitar of Hua Cheng and the weapon he used to defeat the martial gods during his infamous challenge with the thirty-three Heavenly Officials. E-Ming was crafted from Hua Cheng's right eye while he was in Tonglu Mountain for the first time. Hua Cheng, still a weak, drifting ghost at that point, had taken a group of lost mortals under his wing. To protect them when they were surrounded by ghosts, he dug out his own eye and forged E-Ming.

Xie Lian smells like flowers in spring and most importantly he smells like home. So Hua Cheng often finds himself burying his face in the crook of his neck. meanwhile, Hua Cheng smelled of leaves. And sometimes smoke, but not the kind that burned Xie Lian's throat, although after all, that's what any smoke usually did. Hua Cheng loves collecting rare treasures, having a large collection of antiques and priceless artifacts and weapons, some of which are thousands of years old. Ironically, he treats them rather poorly. He does not care when they are destroyed and has been shown to abuse or misuse them himself on occasion. He also loves Spending time with Xie Lian.
