Taiju Shiba 「柴・大寿, Shiba Taijū」 was one of the antagonists of Tokyo Revengers in the Black Dragon arc and is currently the Captain of the Sixth Division of the Second Generation of the Tokyo Manji. He was also the former tenth leader of the Black Dragon. Taiju is the older brother of Yuzuha and Hakkai Shiba.

Appearance

Taiju is a tall man (this being the second tallest character shown so far in the plot), apart from being very muscular. He has fairly long blue hair with some white highlights. As for his clothing, we can see that he wears a personalized Black Dragon uniform, the jacket being longer than the original and of a more intense red color. Taiju wears a long open jacket, revealing the tattoo on his chest. He has several similar tattoos on his torso, and also has one on his back. His tattoos have tribal shapes, with a series of spirals on his left side of the neck to his chest. He has a giant cross tattooed on his back, probably due to his religious beliefs. He emits a strange, psychotic smile in addition to other unusual behaviors such as making very exaggerated and strange expressions with his face.

Personality

Taiju is a very conceited and violent person. Instead of solving things peacefully he usually uses violence, he is the type of person who enjoys tormenting and making his opponents suffer, caring little about the feelings of others. Although Taiju deep down loves his brothers very much and wants to protect them, he became his worst nightmare, even physically and psychologically abusing them for not knowing how to handle things properly. Although it may not seem like it due to his physical appearance, Taiju is a devout Christian, who goes to pray and always celebrates Christmas in church. He doesn't care who his opponent is. He trained the Black Dragon gang in the tenth generation, automatically becoming the leader of said gang and completely reforming it so that its members acted as if they were an army. He is a person who has a hard time accepting his mistakes and coming to terms with them, although at the end of the Black Dragon Arc, we can see his regret for his past actions and what appears to be a change for the better. . He is aware of his great strength so he is very confident with his physical abilities, in addition, he is incredibly charismatic, completely capturing the hearts of his followers.

Authority: During his time as the leader of the Black Dragons, he had absolute control over the powerful gang, directing and ordering them around as he saw fit. Under Taiju, the Black Dragons became incredibly formidable and united, with others observing that they were almost like an army. Taiju, in addition to his impressive strength, is also very charismatic. His followers do not simply obey him out of fear; they do so out of respect for him as well. Fighting Skill: Taiju is an incredibly powerful fighter. His punches are destructive and his stamina is extraordinary. Taiju easily defeated the Toman Elites, who were very competent fighters in their own right. He was the only person in the series to knock out Manjiro Sano with a single punch, even if Mikey took that punch on purpose. He shrugged off a stab and took on several opponents. Additionally, he also quickly woke up after being hit at full force by Mikey's signature kick. However, because he was unrivaled due to his overwhelming brute strength, Taiju evidently never took the time to perfect fighting techniques, so he fights in a rough and violent manner, having been able to use brute strength to get his way his entire life. Taiju's strength is one of the greatest in the series. His punch has knocked enemies unconscious or back several feet. He has lifted a bench with one arm and thrown it over with ease. In fact, Takemichi Hanagaki commented that he had never been hit by a punch as strong as Taiju's. This, along with his overconfidence in his strength, were the main reasons for his defeat to Mikey.

Intelligence: Not only was Taiju smart enough to use the members of the gang he led, such as he had Koko raise funds for his gang, he is financially competent himself. In one of the timelines he owns his own high-end restaurant and is very successful.
