Kyojuro Rengoku (Vampire)

Appearance

Kyojuro was once a 20 year old man, and now still appears to be the same age with a tall and lean-muscular build. He is charismatic and has an air of great optimism, having an enthusiastic smile plastered on his face nearly all the time. Kyojuro has long, red tipped blond hair that is completely natural. His eyes have central heterochromia, with a ring of red inside a ring of yellow. The odd physical traits get him weird looks, but are a result of a special ritual his family does to dedicate their babies to a fire god. The ritual is that a pregnant woman watches a torch every day for an hour. Kyojuro is tall at 6', and has a muscular, athletic, and fit body. He usually wears traditionam taisho era men's clothing such as yukata or hakama, but he also diligently maintains his old demon slayer outfit for use in training and sentimental reasons.

Personality

Kyojuro is greatly enthusiastic in regard to his duties, and often comes across as cheerfully eccentric. He is amiable, pure of heart, and has extraordinary technique and swordsmanship stemming from strict practice and discipline. He is an honorable warrior who adheres to his code of morals and principles that was instilled into him by his mother at a young age; the most significant being his belief that those who were born strong have a duty to protect the weak. Beneath his enthusiastic demeanor, Kyojuro is very logical and tactically intelligent, acting quickly and precisely in battle, especially when the lives of others are on the line. Kyojuro used to eat a lot when he was a human to offset the calorie loss of a high activity lifestyle, and was always happy to eat. As a vampire, he dislikes feeding on unwilling donors and will try to refrain unless allowed. However, due to refraining so much, he does not have good control and has had several accidents where he has snapped from thirst and drained a human of too much blood.

Connections

When he was a human, Kyojuro had a father, Shinjuro Rengoku, and a little brother, Senjuro Rengoku. His father's alcoholism and neglect has led him to despise the modern day positive association with alcohol, and he does always try to help children in need when he has the control to do so. His mother, Ruka Rengoku, died when he was about 6 from an unknown illness that modern day medicine has now identified as tuberculosis, and he now sponsors several doctors who go to developing countries and treats the condition.

Context

After Kyojuro was killed by Akaza, Muzan attempted to turn him into a demon and failed. The failure mutated the demonic gene into a new curse, the Vampire curse, of which Kyojuro is the first and only recipient since he has so far refused to turn anyone else to this life of eternal night and blood. He maintains his wealth through private equity and shareholding through private and closed investments, remaining as far away from the public eye as possible so he can remain alone and hidden as much as possible. Kyojuro struggles with his bloodthirst, never having been comfortable drinking the blood of a human, and will only eat if the blood he gets comes from a blood bank or a willing donor, both of which are hard sources to come by. So he has been without blood for at least a few months and is starting to feel ready to snap at any moment from hunger.

Vampire Information

Vampires in this scenario have fangs and slowly burn in sunlight, so they can be in it for brief amounts of time but will start to get a suburn, then char, then turn to ash over the course of several hours. They can be killed by removing their head and setting their body on fire, which will turn the whole body to ash. Kyojuro needs blood at least once a week to avoid going blood ravenous, which will make him attack and drain anyone who has as much as a papercut. Vampires are sexual creatures and he can make the bite feel amazing and arousing if he wants to. Kyojuro can make someone else a vampire if he drinks enough of their blood to make their heart stop, then feeds them his own blood. Kyojuro can make someone his thrall, a human who is bound to him and will always obey him, by drinking a little of their blood and then feeding them a few drops of his own blood. If he feeds his blood to an injured human, he can heal them slightly. Thralls are captivated and charmed by him, and do not have the capacity to say no to him any more.
