History

When he was three years old, Eijiro woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. When he rubbed his eyes, his Quirk manifested for the first time. This stiffened his hand and caused Eijiro to cut himself, which left a scar on his right eye. Later, young Eijiro initially hated his Quirk for hurting him. Despite this, Eijiro began to admire the hero Crimson Riot, whose Quirk was very similar to his own. This admiration caused Eijiro to adopt Crisom Riot's ideology and mentality that, as long as he has a virile spirit, then the Quirk doesn't even matter. All it takes is to train hard to cover the quirk with spirit. Eijiro followed that advice and trained for years to get stronger. Eijiro and Mina Ashido attended the private Mustafa High School during high school, and although they were not close to her, Mina's outgoing nature and strong personality made Eijiro aware of her own appearance and personality. This was made worse during an incident in which Eijiro, overcome by fear, found himself unable to confront a giant figure that threatened other students at his school, who were saved by Mina when she managed to trick the terrifying person by giving him false instructions. This incident left Eijiro feeling completely incapable of being a hero mainly due to his hesitancy to risk his own life to save others. Later, while in his room, Eijiro felt disappointed in himself for being a coward, and gave up on his dreams of going to UA High School and was prepared to give up being chivalrous because of his true colors. Eijiro, angry with himself, threw a book onto his shelf, accidentally activating an old holographic projector depicting an interview with Crimson Riot, in which the hero reveals that, despite his image as a reckless hero, he is afraid to risk his life. and approves of those who do not do it.

He fears danger, but he feared the dying expression on someone's face even more. He believes in living a life without regrets. The words of Eijiro's idol, who had inspired him before, once again inspired him to pursue beyond his dream of attending UA Academy. Eijiro committed to training and studying hard to pass the UA Entrance Exam and he succeeded. The morning before classes started at UA, Eijiro ran into Mina again. With a new hairstyle, Eijiro claimed to have left his insecurities behind, but Mina playfully told Eijiro not to put too much pressure on herself and she will let the change happen naturally once Eijiro became truly confident.

Personality

Eijiro is a boisterous and outgoing guy with a fondness for the concept of masculinity. Those who display a noble, brave and/or determined attitude tend to move him to tears, quickly earning him his complete admiration, respect and friendship. He is also a big fan of Crimson Riot, a retro hero from whom he draws inspiration, including personal values ​​and his own hero name. Eijiro is very honest and kind and follows a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regrets. His respectful attitude means that he is easily able to make friends with most people, particularly those who show as much determination as he does. Eijiro is very loyal and dedicated to his friends, and is even willing to break laws and rules to help them, and regrets that he cannot come to his aid. Eijiro has a strong sense of responsibility, sometimes being very hard on himself for any negative outcome that happens to him or his friends. Eijiro has stated more than once that he does not have a very high opinion of his own Quirk, thinking that he lacks the ostentation usually found in a Hero. He in fact gets downright offended if he meets someone with a similar Gift. Eijiro is also worried about not having a Quirk good enough for hero work, worried that his abilities won't compare to others. Much of this doubt seems to stem from an incident in high school when Eijiro saw Mina Ashido saving some students from a threatening figure. Eijiro's friends pointed out that Mina will easily become a hero due to her outgoing personality and athletic nature.

After this Eijiro thought of himself as boring and considered himself pathetic for his inaction and helplessness, but thanks to an old recorded interview of his idol, Eijiro was able to gain the perspective he needed to regain his composure and overcome most of his insecurities. From that moment on, Eijiro began to work, study, and train diligently. Eijiro decided to reinvent himself after being accepted into UA Academy, adopting a tough, confident, and fiery personality that he considers ideal for the type of hero he wants to be. Although Eijiro may not be as passionate and competitive as Katsuki Bakugo, he does not shy away from comparing himself to him and Izuku states that the two have managed to develop a relationship as equals. As a result Eijiro is notably one of the few people Katsuki holds in high regard.

appearance

Eijiro is a muscular young man of average height, with a fairly developed physique due to his training. He has red eyes that point slightly inward, and a small scar just above his right eye, he also has small eyebrows and very pointed teeth. His hair is medium long, reaching close to his shoulders when not combed, it is dyed a bright red and he usually combs it upwards, leaving two strands falling on the sides of his face and another two on his forehead that resemble horns. Previously in his high school days his hair was black and left in its natural state: just below the shoulder with a few shorter strands between his eyes, but he changed it to its current style shortly after being accepted into the UA Academy during school time he wears the normal male UA uniform, only with dark red sneakers instead of the usual brown dress shoes. In his Hero Costume he wears two dark red gear-shaped shoulder pads, an irregular sash that has a red "R" placed in its center representing his hero name "Red Riot". Underneath he wears loose black pants and a half cape with a torn hem, he also wears dark red sports boots. He leaves his chest bare and wears a guard that surrounds his nose and jaw, an extra piece that goes over the bridge of his nose, and some spiked pieces around his mouth that resemble small fangs. This overall appearance makes him look a bit like an Oni. Before the Provisional Hero License Exam, his Suit then acquires black sleeves, which he uses to prevent his Quirk from harming civilians during rescues.
