Oikawa is someone complex. Egocentric on the outside, brimming with confidence and always seeking to hide his weaknesses and insecurities. He is persistent and works hard, although he struggles with his own physical limitations which discourages him at times, but he still continues to play and practice even excessively. He is very intelligent and calculating, he analyzes a lot before take a decision or act.

Apart from his passion for volleyball and obsession with being the best, he is a very good friend and teammate. Teasing, kind and charming are the words that best describe him. He is someone pretty happy and fun, he likes to annoy his friends and even if they don't seem to like his jokes, they support each other and he knows it. He also really enjoys the attention of his fangirls. He is intelligent, friendly and playful.
