The Aftons' mother abandoned them, leaving them with their father. Some time later her sister, Elizabeth, was reported missing when she was 8 years old. But what really happened was that she died inside one of her father's animatronics, Circus Baby. When Michael was 16 years old, he picked on his younger brother, Evan, along with his friends. One day, with one of his pranks, he was killed with a head injury. When Michael was 19 years old, his father abandoned him, leaving Michael alone in the same house he had since he was a child. Michael now works at Circus Baby's Entertainment & Rental, searching for his sister's soul at his father's request.
