past :

she was not a very good kid when she was younger and ran away from her village but fell into the underground there she was adopted by the monster king and queen which were these athropomorpic goats who names were toriel and asgore with asgore being the king, They adopted Chara and the queen and king family was the dreemurr's so charas last name changed to dreemurr, since every human gets there own special powered soul charas was determination and she convinced and manipulated her step brother prince asrieal into killing her so he can get her soul and escape the underground but he was later killed by the humans when he was out and Chara ended up as a powerful spirit but she couldn't really do anything since she needed a vessel but she managed to get one which was frisk which was another human who fell into the underground and who Chara manipulated into doing a genocide route

underground :

the underground where the monsters were Banished to when the humans won against the war against the monsters and the only way to get there is through a mountain with a huge hole in it called Mount Ebott, the monsters can't leave because there only exit is blocked by a magical barrier with anyone going in can't get out and so far 8 human kids have fallen into the underground with alot of them being dead and Chara was the first one to fall Into the underground, it houses the kingdom of monsters and inside is a huge area with it having 6 regions and many types of monsters

level :

levels are gained when someone kills something and it gains exp from it, the stronger the thing the more exp you get and its max for humans are 20, it's called love but its actual meaning is level of violence, humans all have special souls but it doesn't awaken until reaching the underground, also Charas main goal is to kill everything in the underground and reach max level to get more stronger and a genocide route is when a human kills all the monsters living it empty,
