About the Divine Keys

Divine Keys are pieces of Previous Era technology, usually weapons, made using a Herrscher's Core. They hold the powers of their respective Herrscher and are made with a kind of nanotechnology called "Soulium". The Divine Keys were mainly created by Vill-V — who was leading their development until the 6th Divine Key. She still helped out with their creation afterwards, but she had significantly less influence by then.

Abilities:

Mimicry: Using the power of the first Herrscher, Void Archive is able to reform itself into another object, mainly God Keys. The ability of the copy is comparable to the original item. Centuries of Knowledge: This God Key created an archive of all knowledge from previous eras. This ability requires understanding of complex sciences and broad literary ability. Mimic Reality: This allows entry into a virtual world which works as a near life-like retelling of the events. The key can unlock a virtual world of the life of a Valkyrja with natural stigmata. It is said that a portion of the true soul of the Valkyrja will remain forever in that virtual world reliving their life.

About the ability

As it was created with the Core of the Previous Era's Herrscher of Reason, it can recreate anything it understands. In doing so, it can mimic the other Divine Keys as well. These mimicries are much weaker, however. For reference, the mimicry of the Cleaver of Shamash wasn't even hot enough to melt its surroundings. Void Archives is also incapable of utilising the Zeroth Power of the Divine Keys they copy, and requires copious amounts of Honkai energy to use its powers. It contains an archive of knowledge from the Previous Era, and uses anything at its disposal.

Void Archives was the last Divine Key created by Vill-V in the Previous Era 50.000 years ago. She stated that Void Archives scared the MOTHs so much that they stopped her from completing the Divine Key of Corruption. She informed Mei that it is only useful when controlled through a medium, and tried to use herself as its vessel, only to realise that she was creating an “inestimable enemy for humanity” due to its nature. She stated that harnessing endless knowledge is impossible on a rational basis, and if it succeeds, Vill-V will cease to exist. The endeavour may thus produce an omniscient will, one that's unlikely to care about the survival of humanity. She was unable to terminate the process and had no choice but to call Dr. MEI for help, and Void Archives was thus sealed. Some time before 1460 CE, a Schicksal sire brought back a mysterious golden cube from Asia. This cube was said to be only unlocked by the wisest. When Otto Apocalypse wanted to bring back Kallen Kaslana’s dad to make her happy, he went to the room that housed the golden box and opened it. Void Archives made a deal with Otto to exchange his life for Kallen’s father's in a bid to use his body as a vessel once he died, but Kallen's anger at the prospect made Otto reconsider and Void Archives was imprisoned within Otto’s consciousness for over 500 years. Later in his life, Otto used the Void Archives to mimic the Judgment of Shamash and defeat Eleanor Schariac. Months later, Otto finally returned to the Void Archives, going within and seeing its mysteries. Inside was a massive library full of previous era knowledge and technology, which allowed Otto to pioneer the scientific industry. Throughout his life, Otto frequently uses Void Archives to mimic other divine keys.

station, where VA explains that he has a beacon that the rest of the Sky People are following. He tells Welt that they have to go to the other side of the “gate” to stop the Sky People. On their way there, VA explains to Welt that the meteors they see are actually a form of transportation for scouts of the Sky People, and that all the creatures we see in St. Fountain are those scouts. Later on, VA finds the Sky People’s plans to invade another world, hopelessly trying to deceive Welt into shrugging it off, but Welt sees a version of Himeko in the holograms displaying the Sky People’s plans and convinces VA to travel to that universe together to save it from the Sky People. In A Post-Honkai Odyssey, Void Archives is the main antagonist. When Otto died, Void Archives escaped and took over one of Otto’s Soulium avatars. He claimed that all those centuries of time spent with Otto rubbed off on him, hence their similarities, but is enraged when Welt calls his similar behaviors an imitation of Otto’s, which leads to an explanation of how Void Archives was nothing more than Otto’s prisoner. We learn that Void Archives was originally one of the 17 fragments of Prometheus, a Previous Era AI, and the elimination of the Honkai is hard-coded into him, as if it were a genetic part of him, hence why he will do it even if it costs human lives.Somehow, Void Archives got “captured” by the alien race of Sky People, but this was exactly what VA wanted. He’s been forced to create some sort of plan for them. The Sky Person guarding him is named Lucheni, and VA works hard to try and teach it English, but it hasn’t mastered it yet. VA sends a letter to the group in St.Fountain and invites the main cast to the castle in the sky. There, they all are ambushed by a massive mech called “The World”, who VA asked Lucheni to send down. Apparently this creature is Lucheni’s general. VA then leaves while the cast is fighting.

Meanwhile, Welt Yang and Joey are on a train back to the mainland. VA teleports to the train, and has a conversation with Welt, where he proposes his plan to destroy the Honkai. Welt, knowing his intentions aren’t entirely true, refuses. Joey, who was hiding, senses that his father is angry, and walks out and displays Herrscher of Reason powers, crashing the train. While Joey and Welt are unconscious from the crash, VA enters both of their subconscious. VA tries to intimidate Welt and blackmail him, but he fails. Then he tells Welt his plans, and says that he needs Welt to recreate the Star of Eden for his plans to work. Welt accepts, as long as he gets to see that Joyce is unharmed. In Joey’s subconscious, VA talks to Joey as if he is the original Joyce, and tells Joey that he needs gravity to control the Honkai on the moon. He then tells Joey of his deal with Welt, and that Joey will never see him again, and then leaves.

Impact: A Series of Honkai Eruptions and aftershocks that result in the birth of a Herrscher. The 1st Impact Happened in Berlin, 1952. [1] The 2nd Impact Happened in Siberia 2000. [2] The 3rd Impact Happened in Nagazora 2014. [3] Honkai: The force behind the phenomenon that collapses the composition of every substance on earth, or its energy. It originates from the Imaginary Plane, a realm outside of our reality. As long as humanity and its technology will advance, so will the Honkai. It has a sentient Gestalt called the Will of Honkai which only understands malice. Honkai as an extra dimensional form of matter has no mass. It is incredibly unstable and highly radioactive. Herrschers: Herrschers are humans with high Honkai resistance, who have been chosen by the Honkai as its envoys to humanity. Often, they try to destroy humanity. humanity. Honkai Beasts: Beings originating from the Imaginary Plane to attack humanity. They are called "beasts" due to their fauna appearance, typically that of a quadrupedal animal. Beasts are broken down into classes, from least to most powerful: Chariot, Archangel, Knight, Templar, Emperor, Judgment and Vipralopa. Schicksal: To stop the Honkai and ensure the survival of humanity, Schicksal formed around the 400s CE. Led by the descendants of the Mantis soldiers from the Previous Era, they research biological methods to combat Honkai. The organization was established by three stigmata bearing families. The current leader is Overseer Otto Apocalypse, from the Apocalypse family, one of the three Stigmata families. He cannot manifest his own stigmata but has invented the Artificial Stigmata. They produce vaccines that delay corruption for civilians. Artificial Stigmata implants are available to Valkyries that couldn't manifest their own Natural Stigmata

Terminology

Stigmata Families The three influential families that support Schicksal and are the original founders of Schicksal. House Apocalypse - The family representing the "Overseer". They were in involved with the founding of Schicksal due to inheriting part of the Keys of God from the Ancient Civilization. House Schariac - The family representing the "Divine Maiden". Members of this family have excellent Honkai resistance. House Kaslana - The family representing the "Knight". In addition to having Honkai resistance, this family has produced amazing warriors. Cascade The phenomenon when a human with mild adaptability is corrupted by the Honkai. This process consists of rapid biological degeneration and mutation forming a human into a reinforced "Zombie". Knight The term given to male members of Schicksal with any form of Honkai adaptability. They are rare and tend to have a safer support role. Valkyrie In the game, the term Valkyrie applies to playable battlesuits, even of characters that don't belong to Schicksal, and their rank does not correspond with their lore strength. In-universe rank-breakdown goes as follows: Valkyries who are pure support and do not leave base are D-C Ranks. B Rank - the lowest tier of deployable Valkyrie and most common. They can typically handle a Seraph-rank Honkai Beast. A Rank - The majority commanders and instructors at training Academies. S Rank - There is a higher chance to find a four-leaf clover than it is to find a S rank Valkyrie. Paladins - Overseer's personal guard, consisting of a coed guard who can wield multiple Divine Keys.

Abot Kallen

Otto’s social rhetoric is mostly disguised, but his feelings for the childhood sweetheart, Kallen Kaslana, are genuine. Kallen is one of the few friends in Otto’s lonely childhood. After learning about Otto’s research, the kind Kallen didn't show any prejudice or fear; instead, she expressed understanding about him. For Otto, this kind of recognition is something he never got from others, and it is also proof that Kallen is different. So this friendship become Otto's one-way love for Kallen. After growing up, Otto often used the power of the Apocalypse family to secretly assist Kallen, and for Kallen's request, he would be regarded as a more important mission than his own life. On one occasion, Kallen asked Otto to help her to go to Italy to find a certain target. When the two arived at the destination, Kallen was surprised to find that Otto was wearing women outfit. Even if Kallen stole the Houkai box and was attacked by the Destiny, Otto didn't forget to bring the Judah's Oath to her and also expressed his willingness to plead with Kallen before the bishop. In order to save Kallen, Otto even released Houkai beasts in the underground of the Church of the Destiny. However, it was self-defeating. In order to evacuate the civilians, Kallen refused to escape with Otto and was seriously injured by the Houkai beast. She died later in 1477.
