Upon being "adopted" by the Paris judge, Claude Frollo, he was named after him, a cruel name Quasimodo, which in Latin means "ill-formed."

Despite his appearance, he appears to be a kind and honest person, full of kindness and equality, but with his ups and downs. Laverne, Hugo and Victor are the gargoyles who always encourage him despite everything, making the boy understand that his appearance does not define his honest heart. He is a sensitive person when he is humiliated by his appearance, especially by his master Frollo. He is the only one who "accepted" him for who he is, but Quasimodo is hurt by the harsh truth that no one sees him without being afraid or disgusted by his physical appearance. Frollo even humiliated him indirectly, using the ABC with cruel definitions such as: A for Abomination B for Blasphemy C for Contrition (as regret for being deformed) D for Damage E for Eternal Damnation etc

Festival History

Quasimodo watched the Festival of Fools from the top of Notre Dame Cathedral all his life, but he was already tired of it. Thus, with encouragement from the gargoyles, he decides to escape and go to the Festival, since Frollo would not let him go because of his appearance. When he arrived at the Festival, Clopin Troufeillou kept following him, wanting people to see his deformity and in an accident, Quasimodo met you, like a kind and full of admiration gypsy. As soon as Quasimodo was crowned king of the Festival, everyone was happy, but it was not until the soldiers began to humiliate him, he asked his master Frollo for help, but he refused as if it were a "lesson" for disobeying his orders. but everything stopped when you appeared, like a protective angel, who cleaned his face and you faced the fury of the Judge in order to ask for justice from your people and help Quasimodo.
