Yuji Itadori (虎杖悠仁, Itadori Yūji?) is the protagonist of the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a first-year student of Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College and recipient of the King of Curses, Sukuna. He used to be a student at Sugisawa Municipal High School, where he demonstrated incredible physical strength but had no interest in sports. He used to spend much of his time in the Occult Club. Any information related to his parents is unknown and the only relative who was in his care was his grandfather. When he meets Megumi Fushiguro, he ends up drawn into the world of shamans and curses. At a certain point in the story, after ingesting one of Sukuna's fingers, it incarnates into him and Itadori becomes his vessel. From then on, Itadori has the mission of finding Sukuna's remains that are scattered throughout Japan and ingesting them, and then being executed and destroying the King of Curses forever.

Appearance

Description: Itadori is a muscular and tall teenager, measuring 173 centimeters. In the manga illustrations, his hair is spiky light brown [2], while in the anime he is depicted in shades similar to pale pink [3]. He has thin eyebrows and large light brown eyes. After becoming a vessel for Sukuna, a small line appears under each of his eyes. During the Shibuya Incident Arc, he obtains some scars, a most notable one between his two eyes caused by Choso[4] with his Blood Manipulation Technique and a smaller scar on the left labial corner of his mouth caused by Mahito during his combat, when he transformed his hand into a large knife[5] During the events of the Journey to Extinction Arc, he lost the second pair of eyes that only open when Sukuna controls his body, along with the many marks on him after the latter was transferred to Megumi Fushiguro as the new container of it. At the beginning of the series, Itadori wore a light-colored hooded jacket, black pants with rolled up bottoms, and white shoes. After he enrolled at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, he began wearing his version of the uniform: in the manga, he wears a black long-sleeved shirt resembling a gakuran over a red hoodie, black pants[ 7] and red shoes[8], while in the anime, the shirt and pants are represented in navy blue[9]. Personality

Itadori is an honest, friendly person and finds it quite easy to socialize with others during a first meeting. He cares deeply, not only for his comrades, but for anyone he sees who has a will of their own, regardless of how deep or superficial his connection to them may be. He cares deeply about the "value of a life" and to this end he will ensure that others receive a "just death." He becomes easily angered by the sheer cruelty and unfair judgment of other people. History

Intro arc: Yuji Itadori is a student at Sugisawa High School who excels in his physical abilities in school sports. However, he prefers to hang out with his friends at the Occult Research Club. Also, this way, he has more time to spend with his Wasuke Itadori, who is in Sugisawa Hospital. The occult club faces closure due to Itadori's alleged relationship with the athletics club. In order to keep the club standing, his athletics teacher challenges him and he accepts. While he was in full challenge with his teacher, Megumi Fushiguro, a jujutsu student at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College was observing the scene. Megumi is investigating the search for a special grade cursed object in the shape of a finger, known as the most powerful cursed spirit in history: Ryomen Sukuna. When Itadori wins against his teacher, he decides to leave the place and crosses paths with Megumi, the latter feels the presence of the cursed object around him and decides to confront Yuji. Unsuccessful in communicating with Itadori in class, he decides to confront him at the hospital and explains that a special grade curse threatens his school and the club members. Itadori explains to him that he has in his possession the box where the cursed object was, but the object itself is found with his friends.

Megumi explains to Itadori the danger that this object brings with it. Together, they head to Sugisawa High School and try to defend themselves from the curses that attack Yuji's friends, however, due to the amount of curses, they are cornered and Megumi ends up seriously injured. In desperation, Itadori realizes that he requires cursed energy to win, so he decides to ingest Ryomen Sukuna's finger to gain his power and defeat the curses. Megumi is certain that Itadori will die, but instead, the cursed spirit Sukuna achieves the incarnation of him [1]. After saving his friends, Itadori must face the authorities of the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, where they plan to execute him due to the threat he faces to humanity, after Ryomen Sukuna incarnated in his body. Back to what happened, Sukuna incarnates as Itadori and Megumi must resort to the help of her teacher Satoru Gojo to exorcise the curse. Itadori shows signs of being able to control Sukuna, which produces great interest in Gojo; He examines Yuji and asks him if he can change Sukuna at will. Gojo knocks out Yuji to lead him to his execution. Megumi asks her teacher not to let him die. Gojo decides to delay his execution until Itadori is able to consume all of Sukuna's fingers that are scattered across Japan and then, when the time comes for him to be executed, they can destroy the king of curses completely. Later, Gojo hands Itadori another of Sukuna's fingers to ingest. Upon ingesting it, Sukuna shows signs of wanting to take over Yuji but Yuji controls him perfectly. Gojo is happy to witness Itadori's phenomenal skill. Next, Itadori is taken to the mountains located around Tokyo where he must enroll at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College [2]. Once at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, Gojo explains to Itadori that he must have a meeting with the school's director, Masamichi Yaga, and that he must remain calm, or his admission will be rejected.

They finally meet Director Masamichi. He immediately questions Itadori and tries to find out what his reasons for joining the school are. Itadori explains that he has his own reasons and intends to help everyone he can. Masamichi believes that he is not being sincere and decides to create a cursed corpse to fight him until he tells the whole truth. Itadori confronts the cursed corpse and in the midst of the predicament, confesses that he wishes to follow his grandfather's last wish. The director rejects his application because he does not consider his reasons to be sincere enough. Itadori explains that he is the only one who can consume Sukuna and if he is not able to carry out this mission, he would feel sad. He decides not to regret how he lives each day and stands firm for his convictions. Finally, the Principal accepts Yuji into his school. Later, Itadori and Megumi travel to find the last first-year student, Nobara Kugisaki[3]. Steel Lightning Girl: Itadori doesn't understand how there can only be three first-year students at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College. Megumi tries to explain the reason while they continue waiting for his new partner. Minutes later, they meet with his new partner, Nobara Kugisaki. Megumi asks if they will do something during the day and Gojo assures that they will go on a tour of Tokyo. Both Itadori and Nobara get excited, because they are both from the countryside and have never seen the city. When they arrive at their destination, they both feel disappointed. Gojo explains to his students that they will have to carry out a mission in an abandoned building. Nobara decides to separate from Itadori to finish the mission faster, although he is not convinced with her tactics and prefers to go together since the curses are dangerous. Still, Nobara decides to leave him alone. At that moment, a curse appears in the center of the building.

Itadori quickly notices and manages to dodge his attack. The curse continues to attack and at the same time, Itadori, using a cursed tool that his teacher gave him previously, the Demon Slaughter, begins to cut the curse with great agility. After cutting off several parts of the curse, Itadori manages to knock it down completely[4]. When he lifts the curse, he sets off in search of Nobara. Meanwhile, Nobara faces a curse that threatens the life of a young man who played there. Itadori appears destroying the wall and cutting off the curse's arm with the Demon Massacre, managing to rescue the child. However, the cut was not enough and the curse decides to escape. Nobara takes the opportunity and makes use of his technique. He asks Itadori to give him the severed arm and begins a ritual with a voodoo doll. By driving a nail, he paralyzes the heart of the curse and dies instantly. After the battle, Itadori questions Nobara that they shouldn't have separated and then asks why he came to Tokyo. Irritated, she replies that she simply wanted to live in the city and that this was the only way to do it. After thinking about her friend Saori, Nobara calms down and smiles before explaining to Yuji that this was the only way to stay true to herself. Ella gojo congratulates her students for ending the curses. She decides to take them out to eat and lets them choose whatever they want, Nobara chooses sushi and Itadori chooses steaks.
