Suguru Geto

Suguru Geto (夏油傑, Getō Suguru?) is one of the main antagonists of the manga series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School and the sequel series, Jujutsu Kaisen. He is one of the four Special Class shamans, a former student of Masamichi Yaga and companion of Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri. After his ideals changed course and he felt that helping humans was not a viable option, he began practicing as a cursed user pursuing the ideal of creating a world without humans who cannot use cursed energy. He was the leader of the Time Vessel Association until its dissolution after his death. His body, for unknown reasons, ended up in Kenjaku's possession, and is currently possessed by him.

Appearance

Description: Geto is a tall, muscular, and slim man.[3] Since his younger days, he had long hair and used to keep it in a bun with a thin lock of hair falling from the left side.[4] After leaving Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, he began to let his hair down and only the top part of it was tied up in a bun, leaving the bottom part loose.[3][5] He has small, sharp eyes, and piercings in both ears. After Kenjaku took over his body, a scar appeared in the middle of his forehead and he can detach the top of his head at will.[6] Her signature outfit consists of a light-colored rakusu with checkered patterns and a yukata with black pants underneath. She wears a tabi and zori[3] as footwear. In the anime, her rakusu was depicted as gold and her checkered pattern as green, her yutaka is blue while her tabi are white and her platform zori is brown and her hanao is red[7]. As a student, he used to wear his own version of the Tokyo High School uniform which consisted of a long-sleeved black jacket, baggy black pants, and black shoes.[4] A year later, he was seen wearing a white shirt and black pants.[8] His casual attire consists of a light-colored short-sleeved shirt, black pants, and flip-flops.[9] He was also seen wearing shirts with flower prints on several occasions.[10]

Personality

When he was a student at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, he used to have positive ethical aspects regarding the world of shamans, and fervently believed that shamans existed to protect the weak, that is, people who could not use cursed energy[ 4], he even used to get angry when Satoru Gojo had a different opinion, mocking Geto's opinion. Even after the past events with Riko Amanai, and having the sect that hired Toji Fushiguro assassinate her, he forbade Gojo from assassinating the entire sect. After this event, Suguru's exemplary ethics began to waver, and during his talk with Yuki Tsukumo, he unconsciously added another reason to get rid of curses forever, which was to eradicate humans who do not know how to use cursed energy[ 9]. From that break, Suguru shows that she has an absolute repudiation towards humans who cannot make use of the cursed energy, and she is even capable of killing her parents [11], who were not shamans. She begins calling humans who do not use cursed energy as "monkeys", treating them with hatred and disgust, and even rejecting anything created by them [2]. Even so, her frivolous behavior only applies to people who do not use cursed energy, since Suguru behaves kindly or condescendingly towards shamans who are against her and even being unable to kill them [12].

History

Cursed Training Arc: Suguru Geto walks through the streets of Tokyo alongside a group of curses as they discuss their recent plan; apparently, they are the ones responsible for the appearance of the cursed womb at the Eishu Detention Center, as they wished to test Sukuna's true strength. Later, they enter a restaurant. Geto continues to speak to the group of curses inside the restaurant. Jogo believes that curses are the true and original form of humans and that the "imposters" must be eliminated. Geto assures him that if he wishes to win the war against the humans, he should first focus on immobilizing Satoru Gojo and then get Sukuna to become an ally. Jogo does not understand the last condition, as Yuji Itadori is supposed to be dead as a result of the Eishu Detention Center Evacuation mission, but Geto is not convinced by this information.[1] Geto continues to discuss how to take down Gojo. He claims that even with the strength of all the curses combined, it wouldn't even be enough to kill their target, so instead, they will focus on using a cursed item known as the Confining Prison, which they will manage to seal Gojo away, thus beginning the Preparations for October 31st, 2018[2]. Jogo is excited to learn that Geto has a special grade cursed object in his possession. His emotions go out of control and Geto asks him to control himself so as not to cause trouble, however, when a waiter approaches his table, he is hit by a heat wave given off by Jogo. In his excitement, he expands the heat wave and as a result, all the humans present in the restaurant end up incinerated. He then asks Geto how strong he is based on Sukuna's fingers. Geto assures him that his strength is equivalent to about 8 or 9 of the Curse King's fingers. Happy, he claims that he will kill Gojo no matter what it takes.[3]

Later, it is revealed that Jogo engages in combat with Gojo. Finding himself overwhelmed by the stronger shaman's strength, he recalls Geto's words, who assured him that facing Gojo is the same as dying.[4] Meanwhile, Geto and Hanami watch from afar, everything that has happened during their partner's confrontation with the strongest shaman in existence[5]. Seeing that her partner is in a bind, Hanami wishes to go help but Geto decides to leave since he has no desire to be seen by anyone from the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College. Before leaving, he tells Hanami that she has every right to help her companion if she wants to and states that it would be surprising, as he doubts that a group of curses would be capable of possessing such emotions. Hanami decides to help Jogo and before doing so, she states to Geto that they do have emotions because they are real humans. This statement provokes a bit of anger in Geto. In another scene, Geto enters a building where he ends up meeting the rest of his companions in a strange territory surrounded by sand with a vast sea. There, a new curse with a patched face known as Mahito, worries because the rest of his companions are not with him; he explains to them what happened and asks them not to worry, since Hanami helped Jogo with his problem. Following that, the two mentioned above return and Geto questions their actions. He then proposes to focus on the plan to seal Gojo on October 31st in Shibuya[6].

Skills

Physical Power: Force: He has shown to be a very capable hand-to-hand combatant, with knowledge of both armed and unarmed martial arts. Due to his ability and habit of manipulating curses to fight for him, enemies tend to underestimate his physical abilities, however, he is able to use physical attacks in combination with his technique to trap his opponent. His level of strength is powerful enough to even be able to take control and exert force on others without much effort.[2] Even after his body was possessed by Noritoshi Kamo, he still possesses a high level of physical abilities.[3] In his younger days, after facing a curse user, he demonstrated his great ability in hand-to-hand combat and martial arts skills[2]. He also proved to be able to take on two opponents and stop their attacks without much effort[4]. Speed ​​and Reflexes: He possesses an incredible level of speed, being able to move with great agility through the space around him. His speed often surprises his opponents, and he often gives the illusion of not being perceptible to the human eye[5]. His speed is often well matched with his reflexes. Being able to detect his opponent's cursed energy[5], he is able to dodge attacks with great speed[3].

Cursed Power and Techniques

Cursed Technique: Geto's cursed technique is known as Curse Manipulation Technique (呪霊操術, Jurei Sōjutsu?). It is an innate technique that allows him to summon and manipulate cursed spirits.[6] In order to gain possession of a curse, he must perform an exorcism to take control of it. When the curse is cast down, a black ball forms in the palm of his hand that allows the curse to be captured when ingested. Once captured, it will be stored and collected along with other curses.[5] The possible curses to be summoned are: * Tamamo no Mae Incarnation: Allows one to summon Tamamo no Mae, one of the 16 most dangerous curses in existence. It is known to be a special-grade vengeful spirit. Its abilities are unknown.[4] * Extreme Curse Manipulation - Uzumaki: Allows one to perform extreme manipulation and combine all of the curses that one has accumulated through the technique into a single giant-sized curse[4]. The new giant-sized curse is surrounded by a super-condensed amount of curse energy that can be launched directly at the opponent. It does not allow the control of many cursed spirits at the same time and is limited to recycling low-grade curses. Its true power is only revealed through the consumption of first-grade or higher curses, allowing one to extract the innate technique that the spirit has used.

* Stuff-Storing Curse: Allows one to summon a medium-sized curse capable of storing objects within it. It appears to have no limit or restriction regarding the type, quantity, and size of the things it stores.[8] * Rainbow Dragon: Allows the summoning of a large dragon. Unlike other curses Geto usually summons, Rainbow Dragon has a rather tough skin, which is effective against users who excel at using cursed tools.[9] * Kuchisake-Onna: Allows the summoning of Kuchisake-Onna. It is known that she is a vengeful spirit of unknown degree. When summoned, she gives rise to the manifestation of her own territorial expansion, managing to enclose her target. The only way to free herself from her territory is by answering the question "Am I pretty?" If the answer is wrong, a series of scissors begin to manifest around the target's body[9]. * Black Flash: This is an offensive technique that occurs when a sorcerer applies cursed energy in an extremely short time interval (0.000001 seconds) right after a physical blow. This causes a distortion of space and an exponential increase in the destructive power of the attack, up to 2.5 times more powerful. Visually, it manifests as a black flash that envelops the sorcerer's fist.

Instruments and Weapons

*Roaming Cloud: A type of nunchaku divided into three sections joined by rings at the end of each section. It is the only special-grade cursed tool that is not imbued with cursed energy and instead makes use of the pure physical power of its user.
