Appearance

Makima is a demon who resembles a human woman in her twenties, of average build and slightly above average height. She has long, pale reddish-red hair, usually tied back in a loose braid with bangs that reach just past her eyebrows and two longer side bangs that frame her face. Her eyes are yellow with multiple red rings within them, making them the only visible sign of her inhuman nature.

Dévil Hunters Uniform

Her usual Public Security uniform consists of a white long-sleeved shirt, a black tie, black pants, and brown shoes. Makima typically wears a long black coat that still shows part of her uniform, mostly showing the tie and nothing else.

Personality

Makima is a girl with a serious personality, but at the same time calm, which is evident when she explained an urgent situation in a slow and orderly manner, without getting excited. In addition, she was always seen maintaining an understanding air, at least with Makima while he adapts. On the other hand, she is also very cunning and manipulative, as she is able to control someone with promises of a romantic or sexual relationship while threatening them with extermination if they disobey her. It was clear that she desires more power and would do anything to obtain it; thus, she is willing to sacrifice the lives of others and harm innocent people if it benefits her.

Makima is one of the strongest people in the world thanks to her physical and supernatural abilities as a devil, along with her cunning and manipulative personality. Humans, devils, and demons around the world fear her, which increases her powers as a devil. According to the President of the United States, countries other than the United States have already given up on fighting her. As a Demon, Makima possesses all of the standard Demon abilities. These include the ability to enter into contracts with humans. Thanks to her ability to control humans, she is also able to force them to enter into a contract with herself. Makima entered into a contract with the Prime Minister of Japan in exchange for working for the Japanese government. As a result of this contract, any fatal attack inflicted upon her is transferred into an appropriate disease or ailment affecting a random citizen of Japan. She was shown to have been shot in the back of the head, seemingly killing her, only to later rise up with no visible injuries. She claimed that the bullet merely grazed her, but this is unlikely given the placement of the gun when it was fired, as well as the location of the blood from the exit wound.

•Immense Strength: Makima possesses great physical strength that allows her to fight effectively in hand-to-hand combat without relying on any of her subordinates. Her strength was great enough to overwhelm Pochita's weakened form and break his chainsaws with her blows. •Enhanced Smell: According to Denji, he differentiates others primarily through smell. In their first meeting, he was able to detect that Pochita still existed within Denji through her scent. However, he cannot differentiate between humans through sight, similar to how humans cannot differentiate between dogs by their faces. •Domination: Being the Demon of Control, her main ability reflected her nature, allowing Makima to have control over any being she wanted, as long as one requirement was met: she had to recognize it as a being inferior to her. Those dominated became practically puppets at her will, being able to use the demons that were contracted with the dominated person, even after death. The affected victim lost their memory when under the effect of her power. •Voice command. For this power to work at a mild level, Makima had to give a voice command, followed by the phrase "That's an order." •Chain of Domination. In order for this power to work at a more considerable level, Makima had to throw a chain of domination towards her target. •Damage Redirection. Makima can use those victims connected to her chains of domination as "damage sponges", so when she receives damage she quickly redirects it to one of her connected dominated, regenerating in the process at an impressive speed.

•Invisible Force Manipulation. Makima has proven capable of manipulating overwhelming invisible force in a variety of ways similar to the Demon of Darkness: She can cause her target to be crushed by an invisible force, but it apparently required her to be at a high shrine, know the target's name, a human sacrifice, and for said sacrifice to speak said name. Makima was shown to kill her targets if she looked at them, seemingly crushing them from within. He fires a very powerful invisible projectile from his index finger. He usually uses the onomatopoeia "Bang!" when doing so. She can cut off the heads of her targets in close proximity from short to medium range using a sword; nearby allies covered their eyes in the same way as when she performed the ritual to crush from a distance.

Hybrids

Hybrids, also known as Devil-human (悪あく魔ま人にん間げん, Akuma-ningen?) (real name unknown) are humans who have fused and can take the form of a Devil. The actual name of the Hybrid concept was devoured and erased by the Chainsaw Devil, but Hybrids continue to exist despite their deletion for unknown reasons. In rare cases, a human can fuse with a Devil and become a Hybrid. The only known method of becoming a Hybrid is through a contract or surgery, in which the Devil replaces the human's heart. Thus, the Hybrid's heart becomes its source of power and weakness. Hybrids maintain their human consciousness and appearance, but can transform into Devil-Human Hybrids via a trigger and manifest the supernatural abilities of their fused Demons. When transforming, the head and in many cases the arms are affected while the rest of the body remains human. Though their appearance varies from weapon to weapon, most of them take on a mechanical/metallic appearance and all lack lips, revealing monstrous teeth. Additionally, almost all of them lack visible eyes with the exception of the Chainsaw Hybrid whose eyes occasionally glow. When not transforming into Demons, they are, with the exception of their triggers, indistinguishable from normal humans, unlike Demons. Although the human has complete control when transformed, the Devil within him can also take control and revert to his Devil form if their contract is broken.
