The game's plot begins with the arrival of Rebecca Chambers to a mysterious Train parked on the tracks, in the middle of a forest. There she will encounter undead living in the cars, and, when she was cornered, she met a mysterious fugitive, who was going to be sentenced to death, Billy Coen. Together they will try to escape without being eaten by the creatures they find along the way. In addition, they will learn details about the past of the Umbrella Corporation, its founders and the betrayals that existed among its senior leaders. In this story, they will learn the details that led to the disappearance of the STARS due to a traitor member, Albert Wesker. After managing to escape, Rebecca says goodbye to Billy, assuring him that the man condemned to death died there, entering the forest to join her other companions, in what would be the prelude to another nightmare.

Plot 1

On July 23, 1998, a passenger train, the Ecliptic Express, belonging to the Umbrella Corporation, carrying some of its employees, is suddenly attacked by a swarm of what appear to be highly aggressive leeches. During this event known as the Ecliptic Express incident, they crowded against the windows of the train, destroying them, and subsequently killing the passengers and staff of the train, all of this, under the watchful eye of a mysterious young man who was there. in the vicinity. Two hours later, STARS Bravo Team is sent to investigate a series of dark murders with cannibalistic tendencies, occurring in the Arklay Mountains region. On the way to the stage in the middle of a storm, the Bravo team's UH-1 helicopter that was flying over the area, suffers a breakdown as a result of a lightning strike that damages its electrical system and forces them to make an emergency landing. In the woods. Fortunately, there are no casualties. While Kevin stays behind to report the emergency, the team decides to explore the area, finding an overturned military police SUV, along with the mutilated corpses of two "marines" belonging to it. Checking more closely, they discover some papers which indicate that the military personnel were transporting Billy Coen, a former lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps who had been sentenced to death for the murder of 23 people and his transfer was precisely to the place where he would be executed. Assuming that Billy Coen was the one who murdered the Marines to escape, Enrico Marini, captain of Bravo Team orders his members to split up and search for Coen to arrest him. The recently incorporated officer Rebecca Chambers, who is also the team's field doctor, finds a train stopped suspiciously in the middle of the forest: it is the Ecliptic Express, a train owned by the Umbrella Corporation, a prestigious multinational pharmaceutical company.

Plot 2

At first she hesitates when she finds him since it may be that Billy Coen was inside and in a closed space he would have no chance against the fugitive, but an intense storm began to fall on the forest and she had no choice but to enter. Upon exploring it she discovers that it has been infested by zombies who were the passengers of the train who now want to kill her. Rebecca begins to wonder why she got into this. After a brief exploration, Rebecca encounters the man the Military Police were escorting to his execution: former Marine Lieutenant Billy Coen. At the beginning and exercising her authority, Rebecca tries to put Billy under arrest but he sarcastically answers that he already has handcuffs and leaves her behind. At that moment when Rebecca was about to chase Billy, one of her Bravo Team companions, Edward Dewey, co-pilot of the helicopter, enters seriously injured through one of the windows of the car, telling Rebecca that the forest is infested with horrible creatures and undead before dying from their wounds. Upon reaching the dining car, Rebecca tries to arrest Billy who this time insists that they collaborate together to escape the nightmare they have gotten themselves into, but the young police officer does not believe her, to which Billy tells her to continue alone. see what happens.

Plot 3

Going up the stairs, the young police officer finds a man sitting near a table who is apparently asleep. When she tries to wake him up, she discovers that he is not a human being, but a horrifying monster made of a swarm of mutated leeches which are trying to consume him. at Rebecca when she tries to flee, but Billy enters the scene, preventing her death by driving away the creatures at gunpoint. Given which he has no other way out than to accept their help and collaborate together to get out of this nightmare. Suddenly, the train suddenly begins to move, but not before seeing a mysterious figure of a young man who turns out to be the person who apparently controls the Leeches through a song.

plot 4

The train was put back into operation by soldiers from the USS Delta Group who regained control of the train. All secretly supervised by Albert Wesker and William Birkin who is surprised and wonders how it was possible that the T-virus was released inside the train, the Umbrella Training Center and the Arklay mansion being distanced from the two mentioned places. previously for a distance of five kilometers to which Wesker interrupts him by telling Birkin that everything related to the epidemic must be kept secret, so he orders the soldiers that the train must be destroyed to hide all evidence of contamination but before After being able to finish transmitting the orders, the leeches appear out of nowhere and murder the two commandos; Because of this, the train begins to dangerously increase its speed, so Rebecca and Billy have to fight against time to stop the machine before it crashes or derails. Unfortunately for Rebecca, while she was preparing to stop the train looking for the auxiliary brake, she witnesses Edward turn into a zombie so Rebecca has to eliminate him[1]. Despite their efforts, although they manage to prevent it from destabilizing and manage to reduce its speed, the train ends up derailing in front of another building: the Umbrella Training Center. As Rebecca and Billy walk the hallways, they discover more about the story of how one of Umbrella's founders, Dr. James Marcus, discovered the Progenitor virus in the 1960s and how it could be used as a biological weapon after combining the DNA from a Leech with the aforementioned viral agent, resulting in the creation of the T-virus which causes mutations at dizzying speeds in living organisms that end up transforming humans, plants and animals into all kinds of terrifying creatures.

Plot 5

As the pair continue to explore the building, Wesker and Birkin secretly observe them; Before they can ask who they are, they end up being interrupted by the camera signal being cut off by an unknown man; Asking who he is, the man responds by confessing that he was the one who started the T-virus epidemic, motivated by revenge against Umbrella due to the murder of the director of the training center, Dr. James Marcus under the orders of Oswell E. Spencer, manager. general of Umbrella and one of its founders, 10 years ago. Rebecca, after being rescued by Billy from falling into the basement of the training center, asks him if he really murdered 23 people, to which Billy tells her that in 1997, his unit was sent to Africa to intervene in a war. civil. Descending by parachute very far from the predetermined landing site, his unit suffered considerable casualties trying to find a guerrilla hideout due to the heat and the actions of the enemy, after a long time of walking, only 4 arrived alive at the supposed hideout, which ended up being a small village that did not house guerrillas. In a fit of rage, the commanding officer ordered the slaughter of unarmed civilians, Billy did not participate, but even so, he alone was blamed for the murders.

Plot 6

Meanwhile, Albert and William debate the possibility that this mysterious man could be James Marcus, thinking that he somehow survived his attack and that he claims to be responsible for releasing the virus in the facility, Wesker does not give importance to the situation. and makes the decision to leave Umbrella to go to a rival company, seeing that the end of the company would be a matter of time and at the same time continue with his own research into the T-virus. Birkin rejects the offer to join Wesker (who decides to stick to the original plan of luring the other STARS members to the mansion to use them as guinea pigs to test the biological weapons present there) and continues on his own with the investigation of the virus-G. In order to cover up the facts and get rid of Marcus, Birkin activates the complex's self-destruct system. At one point, Rebecca separates from Billy and reunites with her captain, Enrico asks her if she has seen any other members of the team. After the refusal, he tells the officer that if they walk straight they will reach an old mansion that Umbrella used for their investigations. She tells him that she can't go, since she is looking for her missing partner, Billy. Enrico is surprised because Rebecca found the criminal, but tells her that it is best to leave. She doesn't want to leave, so Enrico tells her to be careful and walks away, never to see her again. But shortly after Enrico leaves, Rebecca is attacked by a Tyrant which she manages to avoid, until with the help of Billy, they manage to kill him.

Plot 7

Afterwards, the two head to a water treatment plant where they meet the mysterious young man who controls the leeches who reveals his identity by transforming his face: he is James Marcus or at least his conscience since his body, when he dies, is merged with that of the Queen of Leeches, a genetically modified leech with the T-virus which took possession of her body to revive after her own murder perpetrated against her by William Birkin and Albert Wesker following Oswell's orders. E. Spencer ten years before the events of the game; Without any of them knowing, the Queen of Leeches (a leech that she was experimenting on at the time of her murder) who was inside a container that was broken by a gunshot ended up fusing with Marcus's corpse, taking his consciousness and his physical form after he was thrown into the drainage system of the company's Training center and the Queen Leech entered his body and bonded to his DNA in a process that took ten years to complete. Marcus then reveals that he was the one who intentionally released the T-Virus on the Ecliptic Express and the Training Center as a way to get revenge on Umbrella for losing his humanity. The couple confronts him after he mutates into the Queen of Leeches, temporarily defeating the creature as it begins to chase them. Later, Rebecca and Billy escape from the factory in an elevator, but at that moment Birkin activates the self-destruct system in an attempt to kill the monster. This, for its part, begins to chase Rebecca and Billy, but, after a tough fight, they manage to discover that the creature is weakened by sunlight; Thus, while Billy distracts the creature, Rebecca opens the metal screens that prevent the entry of sunlight after which they manage to kill it after weakening it by exposing it to the sun.

Plot 8

After escaping from the factory, which explodes, Rebecca manages to locate the mansion that Enrico told her about. To make her police report of Billy's death in the incident credible, Rebecca removes Billy's military identification badge. They both go their separate ways so while Billy leaves for an unknown place, Rebecca heads to the mansion to find out the fate of her companions.

IF YOU NEED HELP YOU CAN SAY THIS AND THE "NARRATOR" WILL GIVE YOU TWO OPTIONS

"narrator give me two options"

You can only choose one character to accompany you (Rebecca or Billy)

In the case of Billy, he is a character with greater resistance than Rebecca, allowing him to resist a confrontation with bosses or very strong enemies, in addition to his strength allowing him to move heavy objects to continue advancing in the game; Rebecca, for her part, is the only one who can combine medicinal herbs and can get into tight places thanks to her size, but her disadvantage is her poor resistance to attacks. Keeping the characters' health in good condition is important because if one of the two characters dies, the game automatically ends.
