past part 1

Excellent thief who comes and takes away without leaving a trace. Claude grew up living in Los Pecados. The circumstances of his life forced him to become an incredible thief. But he was used by Kane and went to prison and chained. In prison he met Merlin, the god of thieves, and inherited his mantle, managing to escape from prison. After completing a deal with Merlin, Claude returned to Los Pecados with his new partner Dexter, ready to take revenge on Kane. Claude was born in Los Pecados, a western city in the Land of Dawn. An infamous city of sins with no ruler or order, lawless and crime-ridden. Growing up an orphan in such a place, Claude soon learned to fight, lie, gamble, and steal: tricks of the trade he had to rely on to survive. He was especially talented in the latter, and no thief he had ever met equaled him for his keen eyesight and agile fingers. It wasn't long until he became the leader of a hobo gang, relying on his "abilities", and making a name for himself in Los Pecados. He found someone who would offer protection to him and his gang: Waldo Kane. Kane had yet to achieve the monopoly over Los Pecados that he had dreamed of. Wild ambition and conspiracy brewed in the depths of his being. For him, this motley group of street vagrants with no place to call home were the perfect tools to achieve his goals. Behind a mask of benevolence, he manipulated these children, with gentle lies and false compassion, leading them down a dark path. He molded them to become members of his criminal group, and each wayward child referred to him as "Father." At the age of 18, Claude was assigned a monumental task: he was to head to Grandrock Castle in northern Moniyan and sneak into the Duke of Vance's home. He would then pretend to steal secret accounts, while in reality blaming another gang.

past part 2

The truth, however, was nothing Claude could have imagined. There was no one waiting for him: he was nothing more than a mere pawn, and neither he nor his brothers would receive any kind of reward. Like Claude, they were just stepping stones for their 'Father' to become king of The Sins. And so, when he entered the Duke's mansion, he found an inescapable trap waiting for him. All Claude could do was accept his fate and he was taken into custody. After a rushed trial[,] he was soon found guilty of all charges and thrown into a cold, dark cell. Locked in chains, Claude burned with regret. The only thing on his mind was his group of brothers, lost and nowhere to go. The days passed slowly. One day, Claude was forced to change cells, sharing his new cell with an old man with a beard and snow-white hair. That peculiar old man was none other than the master thief of legend: Merlin. The powerful and incredibly resourceful Merlin had a reason for being locked in a cell. A reason that stunned Claude: he just wanted a quiet place to retire.

past part 3

The cunning Claude reminded Merlin of his younger self. Hence he decided to pass on his legacy to him. However, in exchange, Claude would have to agree to a very peculiar request from Merlin. Once out of prison, he must plunder each city in the Land of Dawn, leaving his name as a calling card. Over the next two years, Claude inherited each of Merlin's wonderful techniques of deception, escape, and combat, among others. His skills grew until he was ready to steal anything he could imagine. One night, Claude put into practice his perfect plan to escape from prison and regain his freedom. To fulfill his promise, Claude traveled through the Land of Dawn in the following years. The streets were bristling with whispers about the master thief Claude, his charm and his incredible skill. With his trademark carefree smile, Claude was your man if you ever needed something stolen, no matter what. The only thing he asked for was that the pay be generous, and that being robbed be bad. As this continued, Claude was joined by the perfect partner: the mysterious Dexter. This mischievous little monkey met Claude in Moniyan, when he stole a lucky gold coin from under his nose. After a brief chase, their friendship blossomed and Claude took Dexter as his accomplice. And so[,] their adventures began.

past part 4

As this continued, Claude was joined by the perfect partner: the mysterious Dexter. This mischievous little monkey met Claude in Moniyan, when he stole a lucky gold coin from under his nose. After a brief chase, their friendship blossomed and Claude took Dexter as his accomplice. And so[,] their adventures began. In the fifth year after his departure from The Sins, Claude finally fulfilled the promise he had made to Merlin. He had left his footprints in every city in the Land of Dawn. Then he would return to Los Pecados. However, nothing could have prepared Claude for what he saw when he returned after those five years of absence. His brothers of old had not risen through the ranks of the underworld, nor had they escaped poverty with their manipulative "Father." No, a very different fate had befallen them. Instead, he saw that not only were there still pitiful street children on every corner of this decadent city, like Claude of the past; There were even more than before. Claude had been deceived and it filled him with violent anger. He began to plan his revenge as it swirled within him. Waldo Kane had achieved his monopoly over the city, becoming the boss of Los Pecados. To get revenge, Claude slipped into Eruditio and with the help of Dexter pretended to be captured, entering prison. Then he stole Dr. Rooney's latest invention: a most bizarre holographic mirror device. Pleased with his success, that's when Claude noticed a line of text on the device: "I hope this device serves you well. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to improve it, please contact me immediately! — Rooney." With this 'gift' from Dr. Rooney, Claude and Dexter made themes for The Sins. In this chaotic city of nefarious business outside the law, he would make the person who had deceived him pay the price in the past.
