History(part 1)

"Humans and Monsters exist together and rule the world, humans are shown in nomadic fur clothing and primitive spears. Humans (now in the stage of technology between 9th-11th century), afraid of the Monster’s ability to take their souls, declare war on the monsters and a long battle follows, during which not a single human soul is captured by the monsters due to the humans attacking suddenly and without mercy, leading to countless monsters being turned to dust. Beaten and scared of being killed, the monsters surrender. •The 7 greatest human magicians used a spell to seal the monsters in the giant cavern, creating a barrier at every opening, anything can enter, but only beings with strong souls (greater than a human soul, such as a human with a boss monster soul) can leave. It takes the equivalent of 7 human souls worth of power to break the spell. •Trapped and fearful of further human attacks, the monsters mostly migrated to the caverns end, now known as the RUINS. This was their home, which was named “Home” A long time passes, during which the prophecy of the DELTA RUNE is created, predating written history, symbolizing the monsters below and the humans above, with a winged circle representing an angel, a being that had seen the surface, will come down and the underground will become empty. • Toriel and Asgore decide to have a child in the home. During this period of time Monsters have access to VHS tapes, tube TVs, and VHS camcorders. Either humans invented it first and monsters reverse engineered it from the human’s trash that is washed down, or monsters somehow have human technology from the future. •Asriel is born and raised in the Home •Early 201X, a human child, Chara, leaves the human village where the golden flowers grow, and climbs Mt. Ebott for a very sad reason, filled with a hatred of humanity and a wish for vengeance against their village. They trip on a root and fall down the hole, landing face first into the ground, injured."

History(Part 2)

"Asriel hears them yell as they fall, and finds them. •The Dreemurr Family adopts Chara, calling them the future of monsters and humans, believing they are the angel prophesied, Asgore recognizes the hope in their eyes. It is believed with this human child, rescued and loved by monsters, will bring on a new era of peace between humans and monsters, being an ambassador for the monsters. •No longer fearing humans, they left the old city (Old Home) now known as the RUINS, and braved the cold. The fuzzy folk and monsters that liked the cold settled down at the camp and formed Snowdin…because they were snowed in. • The remaining monsters reached the swamps of a land they named Waterfall, because it has waterfalls. They carved their history into the rock, or perhaps the monsters carved it in there back when they first fled to the back of the cavern. Gerson stays to help with the research/preservation of the history. Water loving monsters stay. •The remaining monsters reach the Hotlands. Heat loving monsters stay here. The royal scientist at this time builds the true lab in Hotland. • The remaining monsters reach the entrance to the cavern, they make a new city, called New Home. Toriel, Asgore, Asriel, and Chara all live happily there. Chara at some point gets more matching shirts with Asriel, it is not certain whether this resulted in the tradition of children wearing stripped shirts, or if the tradition resulted before this and Chara just happened to have a striped shirt on when they first fell. Chara hand knits a pink sweater with “Mr. Dad Guy” (Mr. Bad Guy joke) on it for Asgore, makes a golden flower drawing, and loves chocolate. Asriel or Chara (maybe both work together) make a macaroni art golden flower for “King Dad”. Life is good."

History(part 3)

"Something happens, Chara changes see my next theory on “Chara was controlling the narration” for a theory on what occurs here. •The rest of the VHS tapes are recorded, Chara shames Asriel when he cries, Chara laughs it off when they “accidentally” poison Asgore with buttercups. Chara forms the plan to poison themselves with the buttercups, ask to see the flowers of their village that only grow there, then they will die and Asriel will absorb their human soul, become a powerful entity, and leave the barrier, take 6 souls from the humans, come back, and destroy the barrier. Chara convinces Asriel to trust them, and to not doubt the plan, Asriel reluctantly agrees, believing they would do it together and only need 6 souls,•The plan is performed. Asriel no longer feels comfortable with the plan but thanks to Chara’s manipulation he does not doubt them and follows through with the plan, absorbs Chara’s soul, transforms into a horrific creature, and Chara takes control. Chara picks up their own body, leaves the barrier, goes to their old village (the village of the humans) and lays down their body on the golden flowers, getting sticky golden flower seeds on their clothes and on Asriel-Chara’s fur. The villager humans attack thinking that Asriel has killed the human child, and attack with everything they have, Chara wants to kill them all, but Asriel resists and takes blow after blow, picking up Chara’s body, Asriel-Chara entity retreats and stumbles home, into the garden, and collapses, they turn into dust, and their combined souls are destroyed. The dust covers the golden flower seed that dropped from Chara or Asriel’s body, imbuing that plant with Asriel’s memories and personality."

History(part 4)

"Heartbroken by the loss of both children and the humans once again taking away everything from the monsters, the King declares war in a fit of anger, he declares that all humans are to be killed, and that he will use their souls to become powerful enough to shatter the barrier and then go and destroy humanity and allow monsters to live on the surface in peace. It is later revealed Asgore only did this in anger and only kept it up to raise the spirits of his people, and does not want to kill humans or be all-powerful. Toriel was disgusted by this and left Asgore. The first golden flower emerged in the garden, Toriel took its seeds, then took the mummified body of Chara from the basement catacombs, and walked all the way back to the ruins, sealing the entrance so people on the outside cannot open it. Toriel buries Chara’s body at the spot where they fell, and plants seeds of the golden flowers, leaving the rest of the seeds in the drawer in old home, where she stays. A long time passes. •During this period of time, in no specific order: 6 humans came and met Toriel, left, and died, and their souls were taken to Asgore. Gaster appears, Gaster builds the core and leaves blueprints for the strange machine and blueprints for using the DT extraction machine, Gaster falls into his creation during an experiment gone wrong and is scattered across time and space, Sans, and Papyrus come to the underground in Snowdin, a long time later Alphys met Hapstablook, cousin of Napstablook, at a human appreciation club. Alphys designs a new body for Hapstablook, and creates Mettaton, a ghost in a heart shaped core controlling a robot body. Alphys says she has created a robot with a soul to get Asgore’s attention, and believing that she had figured out how to make artificial souls that could be used to destroy the barrier without killing more humans, and makes her Royal Scientist. She moves into the Royal Lab and makes her home there."

History (part 5)

"Alphys follows the blueprints and uses the DT machine to extract DETERMINATION from Human souls. She creates the amalgamates and Flowey. •Flowey discovers the power of saving and resetting, and plays every possible way they can, doing everything possible and making every single choice, resetting the world countless times, causing the underground’s timeline to never progress for who knows how long while human life continues as normal. •A human child, named Frisk by parents that are almost as bad at naming things as Asgore (apologies to all 0 of my followers who were named Frisk), climbs Mt Ebott for an unknown reason in an unknown year, with an old band aid and a stick, and jumps or falls down the same hole, and lands on their back, their fall broken by the flowers over Chara’s grave. Chara’s spirit somehow enters Frisk and they experience Chara’s memory of falling. •The events you play through in Undertale take place"
