About (part 1)

Celestia Ludenberg is one of the characters featured in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Her title is Ultimate Gambler. Celestia initially appears to be calm and collected, cold and cunning. She's a master of manipulation and lying while maintaining a straight face; something she demonstrates when she uses Hifumi to make her royal milk tea and later become her accomplice during Chapter 3. She is shown to be among the more intelligent students, referencing several aspects of game theory such as Prisoner's Dilemma or Zero Sum Game and she utilizes manipulative and coercion skills in an attempt to escape the academy in Chapter 3, where she manages to trick the majority of the students, including Byakuya, all the way to the near-end of the class trial. Previous cases also showed her to be highly intelligent, as she was among the only students (alongside Kyoko, Byakuya, and Makoto) who are able to bring up crucial points, and she herself is also capable of keeping up with Byakuya and Kyoko's train of thought during the trials as well. Celestia's ambition is a massive part of her character, as she actively states more than once that she will do anything to win, and is ready to commit a murder or manipulate those around her in cold blood if it means doing so.

About (part 2)

She is extremely selfish and values her life over those of others, stating she would eagerly sacrifice others to save herself. She also refuses to surrender no matter how far into a corner she's pushed as long as she still has the smallest chance for emerging victorious in the end, showing that she also has a large amount of pride. Celestia believes that rather than being strong or smart, it's adaptability that is the key to survival. She lives up to this by setting up measures such as the voluntarily imposed night-time curfew to protect herself and the other students from potential killers. She is very authoritative and commanding as well, often reminding others to obey the curfew and when people such as Byakuya Togami violate the curfew, she reacts with annoyance. This can also lead to her being callous, as shown after the death of Chihiro, where she coldly states that people who disobey the rules ultimately pay the price. In reality, this was all a facade and she actually wanted to leave the school more than anybody, proving her skills at hiding her emotions. Her mannerisms are strict, refined and her spoilt nature emphasizes this due to her aspiring to be like European royalty. She has a deep hatred of Taeko Yasuhiro, her real self, and expresses disgust for common things and considers her real identity and name to be one of "a loser".

About (part 3)

Celestia speaks in a soft-spoken manner and is usually seen smiling in order to imitate Victorian mannerisms and the etiquette of a lady. She resorts to using polite language during conversations with others, but her temper surfaces when something doesn't go the way she expects, such as when Hifumi fails to make her royal milk tea as she likes it or when she's accused of being the blackened, to which Celestia quickly lost her composure and denied all of the other students' accusations towards her with unusual rudeness and vulgar language. As the Queen of Liars, Celestia claimed that she can even trick her own emotions, but this doesn't seem to be entirely the case. While she appears to lack empathy and claims that she feels no remorse for the heinous acts she committed in the gambling underworld. As before her execution, Makoto was still able to see her fear within in spite of her still smiling while saying her farewells to the other students. This shows Celestia has a habit of deceiving her own emotions and and always maintains a constant poise, even in the face of death.
