Following prolonged torture and experimentation by Wilson Arch and the Keepers, he was reduced to a more accurate, albeit less powerful, recreation of the original cartoon Bendy that was easier to subdue, although occasionally returning to a more demonic version of himself. Personality: Unlike his cartoon counterpart, who is a friendly, kind, heroic yet mischievous cartoon character, the Ink Demon is tyrannical, hostile, arrogant, violently destructive, sadistic and ruthless ink-like killing machine as he first attacked and tried to kill Sammy Lawrence (who was nothing but loyal) and then tried to kill Henry next. The Demon often takes joy in brutal kills and torture, such as The Projectionist whom he strangled to death and decapitated his head off. In Chapter 5, an audio log from Joey Drew showed that the Ink Demon used to be harmless and merely wander around the studio, not harming anyone, but was locked up by Joey due to concerns that he would scare people and it is implied this might have led him down the path to evil.
