Appearance

A young man is above average height and of medium or athletic build.

Face and Hair

Two fine wrinkles cross his face in semicircles, passing by the inner corners of his eyes. He sports a small dark pompadour with lighter sides and two rattling ponytails at the back.

Clothes

He wears a dark modified Japanese school uniform with a double-breasted jacket, which he decorates with metallic gold emblems, including a yen sign (¥) to the right of the collar and a dollar sign ($) to the left (more precisely, a number; with two vertical lines). He also has a large dollar sign in the middle of his chest. On his right shoulder, between his shoulder and elbow, "億" is printed in large light letters ("Oku", kanji for 100,000,000), which reflects the word "BILLION" on the left. In the animated adaptation, his jacket is decorated with white piping. He wears two thin, sagging belts over wide trousers.

Personality

an impulsive and violent teenager with, nevertheless, a kind heart. The word that best describes Okuyasu could be "childish", as he possesses several character traits hinting at a certain immaturity. Okuyasu is a very extroverted and impulsive person, acting, in his own words, "from the bottom of his heart." He constantly demonstrates his emotions, which are more extreme than those of an ordinary person, being ecstatic when he is happy, in tears when he is sad, and furious when he is angry. Okuyasu often acts impulsively and rarely spends time on fruitful observations or reflections.

Mind

Okuyasu is "not strong in decision-making" and is generally narrow-minded, although there are moments of genuine ingenuity. Constant dependence on his older brother Keicho Nijimura and belittlement on his part have made Okuyasu unable to make decisions that do not come from instinct, and he is embarrassed by this limitation. This leads to the fact that he repeatedly and openly declares a lack of intelligence. His inability to think was used three times, and during all this, his opponent easily exasperated him.

Curiosity

a very curious man who shows a deep interest in everything new, which led him to Tonio Trussardi's restaurant and to the circle in the fields where Mikitaka Hazekura was resting. This curiosity extends to the habit of trying to find out the essence of anything, in particular, persistently asking Josuke why he helped heal his wounds when Keicho shot them both, and why he could not heal his own wounds, which is one of the reasons why it is so difficult for him to make decisions when opponents are trying manipulate him.

Inclinations

Okuyasu also has a penchant for confrontation and violence, possibly due to his abusive childhood. In addition to swearing, he regularly threatens those who anger him, and has beaten people several times out of pure anger.

Battle

In combat, Okuyasu is very aggressive and does not hesitate to use his Hand for deadly purposes, although he rarely manages to harm anyone other than himself. After Akira Otoishi and Yoshikage Kira killed his brother Keicho and friend Shigekiyo respectively, Okuyasu shows a desire for revenge. In fact, in moments of rage, Okuyasu is noticeably more serious and colder, which makes him intimidating to others.When he first meets Mikitaka, he quickly gets annoyed with him and keeps asking Josuke if he should hit him or kick his ass, with Josuke often telling him to calm down.

Nature

However, Okuyasu has a truly kind and noble personality, first manifested after Josuke healed his wounds; he then helped Josuke save Koichi and tried to convince his brother not to use a bow and arrow anymore. He regularly takes great care of his friends and family, takes care of his father and tries to put an end to his suffering. Although, when he found out that his father had some humanity left in him, Okuyasu tried to convince his brother to find a way to at least restore their father's memories and personality, rather than trying to end him. Later, Okuyasu is never shown to hesitate to help a friend in trouble, in particular, he saves Koichi from many predicaments and helps Josuke in many of his battles. Moreover, despite his confrontational nature, he has been shown to have a good understanding of morality.

Attitudes towards girls

Okuyasu regularly complains that he does not have a girlfriend, he is disappointed that he did not live 15 years ago to meet Reimi Sugimoto, and is slightly jealous of Koichi's relationship with Yukako Yamagishi.

Stinginess

He is also slightly stingy, refuses to share food with Josuke [and secretly plans to refuse to lend Josuke money after hearing about how his mother froze his account. It is also implied that he is conservative about his money, as he tells Joska after they excitedly win the lottery that he is putting them off. Currently, he has savings for only five to six years, which he lives on.

Meal

He likes Italian design and hates spicy food, preferring curry with honey and apples. He also likes ice cream flavored with strawberry choco cones. In addition, he cooks at home for his father and for himself.

Abilities

The Okuyasu rack, the Hand, "cuts out" or "scrapes" the space and replaces it with a redistributed adjacent space or simply destroys it. Its ability may also be limited by the physical removal of the substance without directly eliminating the affected area, as has been observed in several cases

Stand Possession Abilities

Although the Hand is a very powerful stance, due to Okuyasu's slowness, its potential remains unfulfilled. Case in point: in his first fight, he knocked himself out by mistakenly teleporting flower pots into his face. However, Okuyasu then shows that he is masterful with his stance. Normally, Okuyasu does not hesitate to use deadly force when trying to swipe his Hand at an enemy. Moreover, he makes good use of the unique properties of his erasure power to teleport in the middle of battle, thus surprising Red Hot Chili Pepper, and tactically erase space to teleport key objects to himself and capture them. This illustrates that the Hand can not only erase the space it touches, but also indicate how to connect adjacent spaces.
