The males of the species are taller and stronger than the females, with the mammary glands less developed and smaller in size. Females emit a musk when they are in estrogenic heat.[6]​ They are dedicated to raising and educating their children in the art of hunting, although they do not normally hunt, except in rare exceptions.[7]​

The majority of their body is pure muscle, being able to withstand harsh physical punishment.
