Alastor has a thin build, pale gray skin, sharp yellow teeth, black gums, and short scarlet hair/fur with black tips, and deer ears can be seen on the sides of his head. There is a small cross on his forehead, which can only be seen during his victory over Sir Pentious, because it is constantly covered by his bangs. He has small deer horns on his head, growing larger in his demonic form. He has dark red whites of his eyes, scarlet irises, black pupils (which in demonic form can take the form of an old-fashioned radio dial), and purple eyelids. On his right eye, Alastor wears an oval monocle with dark red glass and a black frame. he is 7 feet tall. Alastor wears a red shirt with a high collar and a black cross on the chest, and on top of it, a single-breasted ruby-colored frock coat with thin scarlet stripes, torn at the hem, also burgundy pants with a scarlet border, a black bow tie with a scarlet isthmus, black gloves with bright scarlet markings on the tips and knuckles, and black shoes with a deer print cut out on the feet. In addition, Alastor constantly carries a vintage-style microphone with him, which has a mind of its own and is part of his demonic appearance. Everything he says into this microphone is broadcast live on the radio.

A charismatic and vintage radio announcer with a wide smile on his face. He is extremely polite and charming, easily makes concessions to achieve his own goals and, thanks to his charm and amazing diction, skillfully wins the trust of other demons. He makes the first impression of a good-natured and cheerful person. Alastor is a sadist: he talked with joy about the Great Depression in America and the appearance of a large number of orphans, whose suffering he clearly enjoyed. He will not hesitate to use physical force when others do not act in accordance with his particular values or expectations. But despite his love for the suffering and constant failures of children and adults, for unknown reasons he is not capable of seriously injuring or killing a child. Moreover, if he meets a child on the side of the road, he will certainly take care of him. (As revealed in the official prequel comic), he despises Vox. (Alastor was also shown to have a positive side in the comic, as he protected a weak sheep-like demon from being attacked by a butcher who wanted to turn the demon into meat.) Judging by Vaggie's story, he is very cruel and single-minded, as almost immediately after his appearance in hell, he overthrew almost all the rulers who had been in power for many centuries, becoming one of the most powerful demons in hell: Alastor easily deals with the suddenly appearing Sir Pentius. In general, Alastor is described as an ambivalent person. He places a very high value on good manners, affability and intelligence in others and will look down on those who do not meet his standards. However, he changes these rules and adapts them to himself. Unhappy people seem weak to him. Alastor has a strange sense of morality, which is described as "abnormal" and has been noted to be quite sadistic, even cannibalistic, devouring lesser demons or those who have earned his wrath. It is noted that he is narcissistic, but this does not make him reckless. Even though he is extremely powerful, Alastor knows that there are other demons and beings that can surpass him, such as other Overlords. For this reason, he is wary of such demons, as they can harm him if he is not careful. He sincerely wants to help Charlie run the Happiness Hotel, albeit for his own amusement, but hopes that this project will fail. Alastor perceives the very idea of redemption as ridiculous, nevertheless, he fulfills his role as promised. He sees all of Charlie's efforts as just a fun distraction from decades of boredom. Alastor speaks with a transatlantic accent, often using bizarre anachronisms such as "showing pictures", calling Charlie a "charming demon darling".
