Denki Kaminari (What about Kaminari Denki ?) also known as Paralyzing Hero: Chargebolt (Charge Bolt) Sutan Gan Chājizuma ?), is a UA Academy Class 1-A student who is training to become a professional hero.

personality

Denki is a kind, sociable, and energetic boy who enjoys talking to people. He's very good at making friends and is rather casual when interacting with others, including antagonistic figures such as Katsuki Bakugo or Hitoshi Shinso, though he's also not above petty complaining or overreacting if he feels sufficiently upset or shocked. Denki can come across as gruff and reckless at times, but he always means well. He is also a bit mischievous, occasionally joining in on pranks. Overall, Denki seems to have an interest in appearing cool and trendy to impress people, but has a shallow understanding of how to do so properly, such as when he arranged his room with things he thought would be cool and most of his classmates found it messy. Because of that, he is easily swayed by what is popular or stylish, even if it is due to the action of a Villain. Denki is somewhat flirtatious with the girls in his class (and even those from other classes or schools), often accompanying Minoru Mineta on his schemes and trying to pass himself off as a smooth talker. However, he is not very lucky with his approaches, as his advances are either ignored or rejected by all the girls he asks out. Denki is not very bright academically and has the worst grades in his class, so he needs help when it comes to studying due to his constant neglect of schoolwork.

personality

He doesn't seem to show much interest in classes, getting bored easily in lectures and suffering from anxiety attacks when it comes to exams, at which point he becomes increasingly agitated and aggressive. His general lack of wit and tact often makes Denki appear foolish in front of others, making him a common victim of teasing (notably from Kyoka Jiro). Despite this, Denki can display surprising knowledge about certain areas such as literature, art and music and possesses a vast vocabulary that pops up from time to time. Denki quickly becomes distressed when put in stressful situations, to the point of appearing weak and incompetent to enemies and allies alike. During combat, he is very quick to panic and can accidentally activate his Quirk in the face of any impending danger, leaving himself vulnerable in the process. Despite that, he is capable of displaying great flashes of bravery and anger, standing up to Seiji Shishikura when he insulted him and his classmates, showing that he cares for his classmates. He becomes more reluctant to use his full power when there are allies near him, for fear of harming them through collateral damage from his volatile rays. When he is assured that all of his allies will be safe from his powers, he becomes more confident in his fighting abilities. Whenever Denki exceeds his power limit he loses his ability to discharge electricity, with his entire personality changing to that of a giggling idiot for a certain period until he returns to normal.

appearance

Denki has relatively short blonde hair, parted on the right with a black lightning bolt part to the left of his side bangs, which is angled so that it partially obscures his left eye. He has slanted, somewhat triangular yellow eyes and small eyebrows. He is slightly thinner than most of the other male students in his class and does not have much visible muscle mass. At UA he wears the standard male uniform with the second button on his jacket undone and with dark brown shoes. After being attacked by Mr. Compress, he gained a scar on the upper left side of his forehead.[2] In his first Hero Outfit he wears a plain white shirt, over which he wears an open black jacket with a white lightning bolt pattern on the back, and matching pants with two lines running down his legs. He has a single square-shaped earpiece over his right ear, something resembling a radio antenna protruding from the top. His updated Hero Outfit consists of a slightly shorter black jacket with fewer white patterns, only two near the hem and collar, and a yellow lightning bolt bordered around each of his shoulders. He still wears matching black pants, but they only have a small zig-zag near each of his cuffs, and he wears a belt and a white v-neck shirt. Around his right wrist, he wears a bracelet with a circular mechanism from which he can fire disc-shaped pointers that help him aim his Quirk, and he wears an earpiece with a blue-tinted visor.

General Abilities: While Denki does not possess any direct combat abilities, he makes up for this with the moderate control he has over the widespread and destructive power of his Quirk. When using his Quirk, Denki gains a defense mechanism that electrocutes anyone who comes into contact with him, leaving them slightly or completely paralyzed. As a result, Denki can be quite a difficult individual to face in battle, especially those who rely on hand-to-hand combat. If Denki emits enough electricity, he automatically discharges himself in all directions, shocking anyone near him, regardless of whether there is physical contact or not. This aspect of electrification makes Denki very effective in battles involving large numbers of opponents, but can also make him a liability if there are allies who cannot protect themselves from his beams. In the USJ incident, with the help of Kyoka Jiro and Momo Yaoyorozu, Denki was able to stun 3 low-level members of the League of Villains and finally defeat the rest of the Villains present who had surrounded the trio. At the Sports Festival, Denki was able to single-handedly launch himself at a Robot Villain and short-circuit it. Before the Festival's cavalry battle began, Shoto Todoroki, a recommended student, recruited him into his team knowing that the sparks of his electricity can prevent opponents from approaching them and during the battle, Denki was able to electrocute several teams at the same time. time he became the biggest threat to Fumikage Tokayami's powerful Dark Shadow due to the glow his electricity emitted.

Denki showed significant improvement in the Provisional Licensing Exam, when he teamed up with Katsuki Bakugo and Eijiro Kirishima to fight Seiji Shishikura, a second-year student and one of Shiketsu Academy's most formidable students. After Seiji overpowered Katsuki and Eijiro, Denki used his improved Quirk handling along with his new Aim Gear to catch the meat-handling student off guard and successfully subdue him, allowing Katsuki and Eijiro to free themselves. of the effects of Seiji's Meatball and defeat him completely. During the students' counterattack against Nine's team on Nabu Island, Denki was used as a lightning rod to protect Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki from Nine's Weather Manipulation, but at the cost of being disabled. Tactical Intellect: Despite not being one of the most intelligent members of Class 1-A, Denki possesses a certain degree of strategic and tactical abilities that can be quite impressive when the situation calls for it. During Team Training, he devised a strategy to defeat Ibara Shiozaki, one of the most formidable students in Class 1-B. Denki allowed himself to act as a decoy and be the only one captured so he could produce enough electricity to divide the opponents' attention. Denki's plan allowed Hitoshi Shinso to discreetly brainwash Ibara, while Tsuyu Asui captured her before subduing Hiryu Rin, who in turn defeated Jurota Shishida. Denki's ingenuity and Tsuyu's strength ensured victory for their team.

Electrification (帯たい電でん Taiden?): Denki's Quirk allows him to emit electricity from his body as if it were a protective aura and can paralyze anyone who comes into contact with it. By using his electricity, Denki gains a defense mechanism that shakes those who touch him. If it produces too much electricity, it releases a discharge that lashes out in several directions (usually in a small perimeter around it), thus surprising those who are nearby. Denki has little or no control over her and if she exceeds her power limit, her brain will suffer a short circuit that will lower her IQ for a period of one hour in which she will not be able to use her Quirk until she recovers. Katsuki was introduced as a very impulsive, aggressive and arrogant person, as seen in his way of treating Izuku, whom he constantly violated physically and psychologically, even telling him to kill himself, showing his bastard attitude. He has a superiority complex, always wanting to be the best at everything and trying to prove it at all costs; however, even with those traits, he knows how to admit well when he has been defeated, as demonstrated during the Test Battle, when at the entrance of the academy, Izuku tried to explain to him that his One For All Quirk came from someone else, and Katsuki interpreted that he was making fun of him, so he tried to shut him up by saying that he simply beat him. In battle, he tends to be quite bloodthirsty and aggressive, even to the point of turning the word "shine" into a crutch. His brutal fighting style is shown in the battle test, in which he mercilessly attacks Izuku and destroys without caution everything in the enclosed environment in which they were. Despite this and regardless of his lack of compassion, he has been recognized as having enormous talent and sharpness in fighting, since he not only attacks and destroys, he is also capable of using his Quirk to move in the air. That egotism cost him several mistakes in class that led him to defeat or to be very close to it, if it were not for the fact that he had to cooperate reluctantly with his classmates.
