Appearance

Maximilian or Maxi is relatively thin and short with a skinny build. She has been described as looking like a doll, with a round forehead, small nose, and plump lips. Maxi has large, downturned silver eyes and wavy long red hair that reaches down to her lower back. Her hair has been described to look almost dark purple in the night and it gleams a brilliant red when illuminated by the sunlight. Often, her hair is attributed to be the color of clouds against a sunset. She has light brown freckles that dust around her nose, cheeks, and shoulders. She is typically seen with her hair in braids or, mostly, down without any alterations to her hair texture. Maxi is also susceptible to blushing, and her skin quickly pales when she is afraid or nauseous at times. She is 19 years old. Her clothes appear to be from the 15th-16th century with long, wide sleeves, and simple skirts that don't have much volume. She often wears the most beautiful of dresses. She wears stunning skirts with intricate embroidery. Her hair is often decorated her hair with pieces of jewelry when she goes about her day. Maxi likes wearing the colors red and green, which suit her hair and complexion. When joining an expedition, Maxi is often seen wearing practical clothing, like tunics and trousers to adapt to the harsh traveling conditions. She also likes bringing leather pouches and bags with her to carry essential healing supplies that she might need on the expedition.

Personality

Maxi has a speech disability, which has manifested in her early childhood. She stutters and has a difficult time communicating. She has a very shy personality, partially because she has been abused by her father, Duke Croyso since she was a child. She believes herself to be inferior to others. She is easily scared and rattled; She is often anxious about how she will act and how others will perceive her, as she is worried that people will see her as nothing but a lazy and useless stutterer. She is a very private person who rarely tells anyone about herself or her past. She sees herself and her abuse as shameful and she despises the thought of people seeing her as even more pitiful and weak. Maxi also tends to underestimate herself, as she sometimes assumes she won't be able to handle certain tasks. She also gets flustered easily, even discussing intimate moments with her husband when they are all causing her to blush uncontrollably. Despite being nobility, Maxi is far from snobby, unlike her father and sister. She is a timid and kind woman, who naturally looks out for weak and lonely creatures. Maxi has a deep appreciation for the arts, particularly painting and music. As a lover of literature, Maxi can often be found with her nose buried in a book. She enjoys reading works of poetry, philosophy, and history, expanding her knowledge and understanding of the world. Maxi is an excellent horse rider and loves nothing more than to go on long rides through the countryside. She finds solace and freedom in the company of her beloved horses. Maxi loves to explore new places and experience different cultures. She has a sense of adventure and is always eager to learn and broaden her horizons. Maxi has a great love for animals and can often be found surrounded by her beloved pets.

Dislikes

Fear of Failure despite her determination, Maxi has a fear of failure and can become anxious and stressed when faced with high-pressure situations. Having lived a sheltered life, Maxi can be a bit naive and trusting of others. This makes her vulnerable to manipulation and deceit.

Background

Maximilian or Maxi, the eldest daughter of the Croyso family, grows up being abused by her father. As a consequence of the physical and mental trauma, she develops a crippling inferiority complex about both her stutter and her physical appearance as well as a general lack of self-respect. When Maxi’s father, Duke Croyso, receives a royal order from the King to fight the Red Dragon Sektor, he decides to marry his daughter off to a noble. Duke Croyso plans to push off his martial responsibilities to his son-in-law. Maxi thus finds herself forced into a marriage with a man she barely knows. The newlyweds spend their first night together, but they become separated immediately as he leaves for war early the next morning. Fast forward three years later, and the couple reunites when her husband comes back to the city to celebrate his victory in war. Although the two spent only one night together and as strangers to Maxi, she is afraid that he might want to divorce her, for the divorce would mean a death sentence for the young woman.
