Backstory

As a child, Lawrence drowned in the river and after that he found himself in the space between life and death. It was an endless knee-deep white river. Lawrence felt that this was his home place, which calmed him down. For unknown reasons, he survived, but from that moment his body began to decompose and rot. The image of that very river caused great trauma to Lawrence. He tried to find out at least something about it, but he turned out to be the only one who saw the white river. Then Lawrence deliberately died in order to be on the river again, and each time he came back to life. From that moment on, Lawrence realized a terrible thing - he could not die.
