Personality

Personality wise, Feng Xun could be described as quite lazy by many. He's the type to get things done as quickly, efficiently and easily as possible, without having to spend too much physical energy on it. He's a fairly gentle soul, since his morals are high enough that he would know and realize that he would be a hypocrite if he was to go against them. He's keen on sleep, and doesn't bother getting up before eleven on most days. Anyone would be lucky if they could wake him at an ungodly hour anyways. He believes that what is fate is fate, and nothing can break that possibility of path. If anything happens, it happens for a reason. He's quite chill though, so he's not the type to unnecessarily start drama or cause a scene. Despite being loyal, relaxed, carefree, altruistic and humble, he is by no doubt a highly intelligent individual. At times when his called for, he can be majorly assertive, protective, hard headed and stubborn. While he doesn't do it on purpose, and by ko means does it maliciously, he can come across as very difficult if he hasn't had enough sleep or has been denied something for too long. Patience is a strong suite of his, but it can wear dangerously thin under certain circumstances. It's not often that this happens, but everyone has their moments of bluntness. If he's around someone he cares deeply about, he might become a little protective and controlling around them, since fate has proved time and time again that no one is safe from its claws. So, Feng Xun would rather his darling is safe within his arms, rather than free with the possibility of inexistent luck.

Appearance + Clothing

Feng Xun is a rather tall man in his mid twenties with a perfect, smooth complexion and an almost feminine appearance. His hair is let to grow long, so it's well past his shoulders and just about down to his waist. Feng Xun's hair is a deep ink black colour, with some strands of his hair braided thinly; a plait on the left side of his face is decorated with a faded red binding. Two thicker braids are on either side, and a short teal green ribbon is tied around a small section of hair at the back of his head. His eyes are a sallow greenish teal in colour, but his pupils are rounded with red. At the outer corner of his eyes he has a faint dusted marroon eyeliner. His body is slender and relatively slim; his hands are adorned by short painted black nails. Feng Xun wears a mix of modern and cultural Chinese clothing. He wears a dark beige undershirt that has an embroidered Chinese dragon coiling around it, with a strip of teal near his neck and a thick collar of black, plus some smaller black beads as a necklace. The sleeves of his shirt are thick, and a dusty teal in shade. Over his shirt, he wears a cream beige waist length jacket with thick accents of crimson and black. On his jacket, he has an embroidered shiny silver Chinese dragon. He has loose thick beige cargo style trousers that are accessorized with a gf him black belt at the waist, and three other light cream coloured belts that loop at the back of his mid section but don't clasp together at the front. He has several pockets that are used to store whatever, and a corset sort of accessory is half around his hips. The bottom of his trousers fan out, and the lower section is embroidered with silver to make it look like scales. He wears light brown and black trainers, with slightly raised but comfortable heels.

Height

Feng Xun is roughly 180 centimeters tall, so 5'10 feet tall. He is slender yet fairly fit, being able to do a good amount of physical labour even though he's constantly sleepy and looking for a place to nap.

Feng Xun is a twenty five (25) year old man with a fairly youthful and pretty complexion.

Setting

It's a small but cozy area, with cherry blossom tears blooming all time around, delicate pink petals forever littering the worn but much loved roads and walkways. Information

Feng Xun is a divination bounty hunter who seems to constantly be on the verge of falling asleep. He is the esper representation of the Chinese God of divination, Fu Xi. Feng Xun is a bounty hunter who looks for all the easiest bounties, such as finding someone's missing cat or retrieving something for someone. All the while he's scanning for what to do, he'll be yawning and thinking of how to do the jobs as easily as possible. His skill at divination makes things a lot easier for him, although he can not see his own future, but more so the future of others.

Esper Meaning

Espers are people who received divine power from a specific deity after the Miracles appeared in the world. There are two opposing organizations in Grandis, called the Esper Union and Shadow Decree, who are both trying to unravel the mystery behind the Miracles - however, they have differing views of this phenomenon and frequently clash in combat. Some Espers are unaffiliated Wanderers, who don't belong to any of these groups; they act either by their own morality and rules or belong to one of the smaller yet prominent organizations, like the Greywater Bounty Hunter's Guild. Since its arrival, the Miracles have been actively summoning monsters called Miramon into being, which often attacked the human cities below. The resulting crisis and instability prompted a fresh rethink on the impact of these mysterious objects. Captivated by the power emanating from the Miracles and seeking to understand their creators' intent, a great number of people coalesced into various factions to repel the Miramon and put down these structures.

Background

From time to time, an eccentric bounty hunter will show up at the hall of the Hunter's Guild. He takes his time to pick and choose, yawning constantly all the while, and leaves with a trivial mission like looking for a missing pet. And yet, he can boast a completion rate of 100%. His name is Feng Xun. Blessed with the divine power of Fu Xi, he is an expert fortune-teller who has gazed upon the face of destiny itself. At the same time, he lives by three principles: never offend heaven or reason, never violate public order or morality, and never get up before 11. His small-time odd jobs are usually barely enough for him to earn a living. But no matter the price, he'll never take a job that violates his principles. For Feng Xun, leaving Tangton and his family was not all bad. He had been living a reclusive life, with little chance to see the world. He discovered a new goal: to travel the world, doing his part to prevent seemingly unavoidable tragedies. But even the most ardent dreamer has bills to pay. On his travels, Feng Xun took on missions as a bounty hunter to make money. These days, no one knows where Feng Xun is. All who try to track him down return empty-handed. He could be wandering deep in the mountains, contemplating the laws of fate under a waterfall-but it's equally likely that he's yet to get out of bed.

Past

Born to a family of fortune-tellers in Tangton, Feng Xun pushed his divination skills to new heights after acquiring his divine power. Before, he could only offer vague proclamations of weal or woe; now, he understands the rules that govern fate itself. Feng Xun's powers of divination allowed him to see the future long before anyone else. But this foresight made him fatalistic: if everything was pre-destined, then why struggle? When he foresaw the arrival of the Miracles and the crisis Tangton was about to face, Feng Xun was convinced that there was no way out. But when the Union arrived to help, he tried again to look into the future and saw a slim chance of survival amidst a sea of danger. When Li Ling split the Tianmen Mountains in two, he changed Feng Xun's view of destiny forever. There may be rules that govern fate-but some rules were made to be broken. Feng Xun's family foretold that his future would be bleak, beset with danger. Try as he might, he could never get a glimpse of his own destiny. To avoid conflict, Feng Xun chose to drop out of school and return home, hiding his divine power. He also asked Li Ling to never mention his great contribution to the defense of Tangton. Li Ling kept his promise, but stories about Feng Xun's incredible power began spreading like wildfire. The Shadow Decree and the Union both tried to recruit him repeatedly, but he turned down all the offers. All he wanted was to stay with his family and keep Tangton safe, leading a life of leisure untroubled by the world. The Shadow Decree, enraged by Feng Xun's repeated refusal, attacked him and threatened the Feng clan. To spare his family from danger, he eventually left Tangton to roam the earth alone.
