Stan Marsh

appearance

Stan wears a brown jacket with a red collar, underneath his jacket he wears a baseball t-shirt or a white polo shirt, a blue hat with a red pompom and red trim, blue jeans, and sometimes wears a pair of gloves. Red color. His hair is black as first shown in the episode "A Shitty Christmas", where Kyle also mentions that Stan has blue eyes. Stan has worn the same clothes since an early age as shown in a flashback of "Preschool", in "The Christmas Spirit: Jesus vs Frosty", he wears the same hat but completely red, he also had a dot on his nose and his jacket was blue and had purple gloves. In Season 22 the only difference is that he has a "Tegrity Farms" t-shirt since he moved to Randy's farm.

personality

He is kind and nervous, with a great sense of what is right and what is not. Stan is the most mature of the group, even showing much more maturity and making better decisions than the adults themselves. Stan is the voice of reason not only in his group, many times in the whole town, since adults are usually quite stupid and whenever there is a problem, they propose ridiculous solutions. Stan is much smarter than his father, Randy Marsh. Stan usually proposes quite intelligent solutions, he is without a doubt, one of the most intelligent in the series and shows more maturity even than Kyle, since he always gets into absurd fights with Cartman. He is afraid of snakes (maybe for fear of being bitten.) Despite always saying "I will not get involved in this", he and his friends always end up getting into some adventure. Sometimes he loses control and ends up doing some crazy things but generally he behaves appropriately. His sister Shelly makes his life impossible, since she is very violent. His mother Sharon works at Tom Rhynoplasty and his father Randy is a geologist and is a very impressionable and dizzy man. His grandfather Marvin is very old and is constantly asking Stan to please kill him.

Randy Marsh (Stan's father)

Randy is Stan's father. They generally have a good relationship, though Stan is often annoyed by Randy's obsessiveness (this is especially true with the video camera), pushiness, and melodramatic antics. Randy also tends to be very naive, which further exasperates Stan. Like the rest of the family, the relationship was deteriorating due to Randy videotaping everything the family did in "Perudemia", but Stan may have been indifferent due to the Peruvian flute bands. Stan also dislikes his father's stubbornness, alcoholism, and general stupidity. Outside of Randy's antics, Stan seems to enjoy being around his father. Randy taught Stan how to dance in "You Took Pi by the Cu", and Randy took extra steps to help Stan win in "Wooden Car Race", although the cheating was simply to beat a rival family.

Sharon Marsh (Stan's mother)

Sharon Marsh She is Stan's mother. His relationship with her is often more stable than Randy's. However, she has told him that she considers her happiness and Shelly's happiness to be secondary to his own (although this was probably a joke for the estranged parents, because Sharon has never shown this behavior aside from in "Clubhouse"). She freaked out when Stan was missing in "Perudemia" (he had been arrested by the military), taking the arguments with Randy about the video camera to the next level. Stan's jacket is almost the same as Sharon's shirt. Stan is very similar to Sharon in the way he addresses others, and they likely have a good loving relationship with each other.

shelly (stan's older sister)

Shelly Marsh She is his violent and abusive teenage sister. She frequently insults him by calling him and his friends jerks and physically harms him. However, she refuses to let anyone else harm her, as seen in "Preschool" when Stan asked her for advice on what to do about the bully Trent Boyett. After asking for her help, she seemed to genuinely listen to his problem. Also, Stan even stated at one point that she used to be a little nicer to him before the headdress was installed. She is sometimes nice to Stan, but would rather run him over with a lawnmower afterwards. However, she has not been violent towards Stan since "Overloaded".

marvin (stan's grandfather)

Marvin Marsh He is Stan's paternal grandfather. He is 102 years old, confined to a wheelchair, and slightly senile. He continually addresses Stan as "Billy," and occasionally asks Stan to kill him. This happens to be a family trait involving the men of the Marsh family, going back at least a couple of generations. He is said to have had the same relationship with his own grandfather.

kyle (stan's best friend)

Stan and Kyle have been great friends since the beginning of the show. Stan seems to be the only character on the show who gets along with all of the main and background characters. They have been known to end up working together on certain adventures, such as in "The Fantastic Easter Special", and are often dragged into the same circumstances because of this, such as in "Imaginationland (Part 2)". Stan has saved Kyle's life on several occasions without hesitation, most notably in "The Super Best Friends", and has once stated that he doesn't want Kyle to die until Stan does first. He almost always sticks up for Kyle when Cartman's hatred for him goes over the top, such as in "Cartmanland" and "Cherokee Hair Tampons". Stan often feels anxious about Kyle when he is being scammed or wallows in his hatred of Cartman, bending over backwards to encourage or reassure Kyle, convince him otherwise, or get him out of trouble. Stan also had a major concern when Kyle was voted the ugliest kid in the class in "The List". Their friendship is so strong that Cartman calls them "faggots" and has even commented to them, "Do you want a room so we can hang out?" in "Super Best Friends". It is also notable that in "Imagination Land (Part 3)", Kyle was the only person who could hear Stan's voice in his head when Stan was trapped in Imagination Land, though this was likely due to the shock he received from the portal.

Eric Cartman

Eric Cartman Despite Stan not really considering Cartman a friend, the two are often seen together. In "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow", Stan and Cartman hang out at the boat rack, and Cartman even comments that it's great that they're together without Kyle, implying that at least Cartman would prefer to have a closer friendship with Stan. Meanwhile, Stan seems to be more tolerant or at least accepting of Cartman than Kyle and even Kenny at times, such as in "Fat Ass and Pancake Head". While Kyle is immediately suspicious of Cartman's veracity in his claim that he can't control the actions of his hand (which seems to have taken on a life of its own), Stan gives Cartman the benefit of the doubt and admits that, with everything else that happens in South Park, Cartman might just be telling the truth.

kenny

Kenny McCormick Although Kenny and Stan don't seem to share the same bond as Stan and Kyle, Stan sees Kenny as a close friend. In "Kenny Dies", of the three boys, Stan has the hardest time dealing with Kenny's death, and can't even stand to see him in the hospital. When Stan finally realizes that Kenny passed away "for good", he feels like he's Kenny's worst friend (until they learn of Cartman's selfishness). The two boys often team up when Cartman and Kyle get into their typical troubles and Stan and Kenny don't want to listen to it, such as in "The Passion of the Jew". In "Best Friends Forever", Stan and Kyle fight Cartman from removing Kenny's feeding tube to save Kenny's life.

wendy

Wendy Testaburger One of Stan's problems is that he throws up a lot when his crush, Wendy Testaburger, comes up to him. On one occasion, it is said that he throws up when he falls in love, as happens for example in the episode where they have a substitute teacher (Mrs. Ellen) and he throws up when she talks to him. Wendy left Stan for Tolkien Black, the black boy at school, although they later got back together. In the episode "Bebe's Tits Destroy Society", Stan is half attracted to Bebe just because of her tits and that makes Wendy a jealous bomb. In several seasons he has a relationship with Wendy, many episodes show Stan worried because of his jealousy, as in the penultimate episode of season 12, in which Stan is bothered by a boy who dances and sings and makes all the girls fall in love with him (Bridon Gueermo), a clear parody of the movie "High School Musical", however his emotional stability almost always prevails.
