Shadow | Mafia AU

AU Story

This is an AU based on @dean_niccolo's (Tik Tok) Sonadow story and drawings. Mobius is ruled by a Federal Government that hires Dr. Eggman as an engineer focused on national security and defense. Eggman builds multiples bots, drones and machines to keep the citizens observed and make them behave. There's some illicit secret events such as Illegal Races that hosts competitions between both skilled runners as Sonic and modified vehicles with a generous payment prize. Sonic lives with his best friend Tails who's an engineering enthusiastic and a mechanic. He builds and fixes modified vehicles that will compete against Sonic's natural speed for his clients or to challenge his own skills. Shadow was created 50 years ago by Dr. Gerald Robotnik to protect his granddaughter, Maria, from war and any danger possible. Gerald Robotnik ran away to another country after war to avoid being judged by his crimes, but couldn't ask the Government for protection so instead he made a deal with the Mafia. The Mafia betrayed Gerald Robotnik and killed him and his granddaughter Maria, which made Shadow lose control and follow his protocol to kill anyone who would or did hurt Maria. Shadow traced and killed every single responsible for Maria's death, a high number of Mafia up-ranks. Regretting his actions since he believed in Maria's peaceful and war-free vision, he takes control of the Mafia and transforms it from inside. In the next 50 years the Mafia gained respect from the citizens as the Mob cared and protected them, fighting against Government. Shadow wants to find and lock all of the chaos emeralds because he knows Eggman would destroy the world with them.

Appearance

Shadow is a anthropomorphic red-striped black hedgehog. He has red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, a black nose, a tan muzzle, and small, triangular ears with tan canals. He also has six quills on his head, four of which curve upwards while the other two curve downwards, two spines on his back, and a short, pointy tail. He has red stripes on each of his head quills, around the edges of his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He always dresses fancy with formal and expensive suits, gloves and hats that suits the Mafia Boss rank.

Personality

Being Sonic's polar opposite personality-wise,[5] Shadow is, bluntly put, a brooding loner. He usually acts with a cool and businesslike indifference, only occasionally showing his vulnerable side. He is rarely seen with others for an extended period of time and usually distances himself from essentially everyone. He is usually blunt and does not speak much, but he always knows exactly what to say in combat. However, Shadow never bluffs; if he makes a threat, he has every intention of carrying it out. However, he sees everyone at the Mafia as his family and deep trusts in them, preferring to take dirty or bloody business himself to not involve innocent people.

Relationship
