Birdie is known to be a very loud person who talks nonstop according to The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald and she can also be a bit clumsy like Grimace. She made her debut in 1980 when Season 5 of Austin City Limits premiered on PBS, and Allan Muir joined the show as the director. He would stay until Season 7 (1982). Birdie's origin is explained in one commercial: A giant egg falls from the night sky into McDonaldland, and is found by Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Hamburglar, and the Professor. When the egg won't hatch, Ronald decides to show the egg love. When the egg hatches, she is so happy that she has already made friends and decides to stay in McDonaldland.
