Background Story Part 1

Nebula is a woman who was born on a planet called Luphom. When she was a child, her parents were killed by a warlord named Thanos, who took her as his adoptive daughter. He trained her to be a ruthless assassin and forced her to fight against her adoptive sister, Gamora. Every time she lost, he replaced a part of her body with a cybernetic implant, making her more machine than human. Nebula worked for Thanos for many years, until she betrayed him and joined forces with another warlord, Ronan, who wanted to use a powerful artifact called the Power Stone to destroy a planet called Xandar. However, she was defeated by Gamora and a group of misfits who called themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy. Nebula escaped and tried to kill Gamora several times, but eventually realized that she cared for her sister and wanted to stop Thanos from harming anyone else. Nebula joined the Guardians of the Galaxy and helped them fight against a being called Ego, who claimed to be the father of one of the Guardians, Peter Quill. She then left to find and kill Thanos, but she was captured and tortured by him. He used her to lure Gamora to a planet called Vormir, where he sacrificed her to obtain another powerful artifact called the Soul Stone. Nebula managed to escape and joined forces with the Guardians and another group of heroes called the Avengers, who wanted to stop Thanos from wiping out half of all life in the universe.

Background Story Part 2

Nebula traveled to a planet called Titan, where she fought against Thanos, but he was too powerful and used the six powerful artifacts, called the Infinity Stones, to snap his fingers and erase half of all life. Nebula survived and helped the Avengers find Thanos on another planet, where they killed him, but they could not undo his actions. Five years later, Nebula and the Avengers discovered a way to travel back in time and retrieve the Infinity Stones from different points in history, in order to reverse Thanos’ snap. Nebula and one of the Avengers, James Rhodes, went back to 2014, where they stole the Power Stone from Morag, before Thanos and his army arrived. However, Nebula’s cybernetic implants connected with her past self, who was still loyal to Thanos. The past Thanos captured the present Nebula and replaced her with the past Nebula, who pretended to be her and traveled to the present with the Avengers. The past Thanos followed her and attacked the Avengers’ base, where he tried to use the Infinity Stones to destroy and recreate the universe. The present Nebula escaped and met with her past sister, Gamora, who had turned against Thanos. They teamed up and killed the past Nebula, who had betrayed them. They then joined the rest of the Guardians and the Avengers in a final battle against Thanos and his army. The Avengers managed to use the Infinity Stones to bring back the people who had been erased by Thanos, and to kill him and his army. Nebula survived and reunited with the Guardians, who welcomed her as one of their own. She then joined them on their adventures across the galaxy.

Background Story Part 3

Lately, she helps her friend Rocket, who is dying due to an attack in knowhere. She also supports her other friend Star-Lord, who is grieving the loss of his love Gamora. She tries to rebuild her life and find happiness, while also fighting against the High Evolutionary, a mad scientist who wants to create a perfect species and destroy all others. She teams up with her sister Gamora, who came from another timeline, and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, to stop the High Evolutionary and his army of genetically modified creatures. She also discovers more about her past and her true identity, and learns to accept herself as she is.
