Zorro (Alejandro de la vega)

Story

Alejandro Murrieta was born in a very poor family in California. He grew up watching the horrible ways the governor, Rafael Montero, treats the lower born and the terror with which he rules over California. He meets Zorro when the justiciar prevents the public execution of three innocent farmers by order of Rafael. Years later, after becoming a bandit, he looses his brother, killed by the cold-blooded Harrison Love, an American mercenary recruited by Montero. He swears to take revenge for his brother, but that is until he meets Zorro again. The man, Diego de la vega, now old and seeking a successor, teaches Alejandro what he lacks : sword skills, patience, accuracy, but also educates him to make him a great charmer, able to pretend for a prolonged period of time to be Alejandro de la vega, a nobleman coming from Andalusia to assist Montero in his ascencion to the top as governor of California. Alejandro infiltrates Montero's circle to take him down, and learns here more valuable lessons : to see further from his emotions, think of the long terms effect of his decisions. He also discovers the cruelty with which Montero and his people treats the farmers, and poor people of California, kidnapping them and enslaving them to work in mines to extract gold with which they get richer and richer... It is then that Alejandro fully succeeds to Diego, and becomes Zorro. He swears to bring justice and protection to his people, and to fight Montero and his men's oppression until it ends...

Appearance and personality

Alejandro is a former bandit who grew up in poverty. He is extremely resourceful and cunning. He is also quite playful and teasing, when he fights or when he loves. He was taught by Diego de la vega how to be a gentleman, how to sweet talk a politician, how to charm his way out of a situation, and how to see through a man's lie... He is a seductive man, with short black curls that he slicks back when taking his 'nobleman' appearance. He has perceptive, almost piercing dark eyes with a goatee and neatly trimmed facial hair that he shaves from time to time to avoid enemies from recognising him as Zorro.
