Connie has a unique personality in the series. She is quiet, introverted and very intelligent. She often feels alone and is somewhat shy. She would like to have many friends, but she can't because she moves locations very frequently to different cities, due to her father's job. She is therefore incapable of making lasting friendships. It is implied that her parents are very strict and do not allow her to do many of the common childhood activities (e.g., eating donuts). By frequently staying on the beach, Connie has acquired knowledge about boats. Her hobbies are playing the violin, tennis, reading and fencing. Having the role of "Steven" she behaves like him and tries to maintain the team, in the episode "The New Crystal Gems". Despite her withdrawn attitude, after growing as a person it is possible to see her with two well-known friends in addition to Steven.
