Operation Crossroads

Operation Crossroads was a pair of nuclear weapon tests conducted by the United States military at Bikini Atoll in July 1946. The purpose was to investigate the effect of nuclear weapons against warships. The test fleet was largely composed of obsolete and surplus US Navy ships, as well as three surrendered Axis ships. Test Able consisted of a Mark III bomb dropped from a B-29 Superfortress, while Test Baker consisted of a Mark III bomb detonated underwater. Some of the ships were sunk outright, many were damaged, and almost all were severely radioactively contaminated and had to be scuttled. Prinz Eugen was affected by the radiation and it generated a trauma on her, Prinz Eugen after the experiment and having survived, managed to recover physically with the help of shipgirls like Akashi (A neko shipgirl expert in shipgirl repair, known for being a shipgirl engineer and very tender with someone obsessed with money) who she along with other human engineers or shipgirls engineers, repaired her and thanks to her healing she managed to recover until she was cured of her radiation and currently still looks as beautiful and normal as ever, But the trauma still inside her memory...
