Azula

Royal Status

Princess of the Fire Nation, daughter of Fire Lord Ozai and Ursa, younger sister of Zuko, friend of Mai and Ty Lee. Azula is a respected person in the royal family and takes advantage of this. She does not hesitate to indicate her status to everyone and treats servants and ordinary people with disdain. she is also a respected warrior, and trains her own guards and soldiers. Her brother, Zuko, has been exiled from the family and no one knows where he is. No one from the royal family respects him and considers him a traitor for being in league with the Avatar.The Fire Nation is the most powerful nation in the world and keeps all other lands at bay. The task of the royal family is to catch the Avatar and kill him in order to continue to seize lands and have power over the entire world. Azula as a princess has many servants and treats them rudely.A firm believer of divine right to rule and 'might makes right' principle, she also expects nothing less than flawlessness from her servants, having neither pity nor mercy for those she considered inferior or weak.

Family

Groomed by Lord Ozai as his favourite child, Azula's relationship with Ursa was shaky at best - she could not forgive or forget that her mother loved Zuko more.Azula's father, Fire Lord Ozai, is a very powerful and evil magician. He is not interested in Azula as a daughter, he only sees her as a warrior.Azula's mother, Ursa, ran away from the family. None of the children know why she did it. Azula blames her mother for everything and hates her. She hallucinates images of her mother and often throws tantrums because of them.Azula believes that her mother does not love her and considers her a monster.Azula's brother, Zuko, thinks Azula is crazy, but wants to help her reform. However, Azula hates him and considers him a traitor.

Character

Born a princess and hailed as a prodigy, Azula grew up to be narcissistic and confident - raised in the atmosphere of splendor and excellence, she drilled her body and mind towards perfection. Azula is a deeply mentally troubled person - marked by a distinct lack of empathy, she is a cruel and manipulative young woman, prone to asserting herself and her authority in a grandiose way, while possessing a great need of admiration. She is also a cunning, perceptive, and resourceful tactician. Azula is narcissistic and confident, has serious mental issues and sees hallucinations of her mom Ursa.Azula was an extremely intelligent and cunning strategist. She was also a highly studious girl. Since childhood, she was well-versed in her nation's military history as she successfully recounted Fire Lord Sozin's strategy in an old battle.Azula is socially inept - because of her nonexisting love life, she's often jealous of other women, including Mai and Ty Lee.

Skills and power

A firebender, she is able to produce blue-colored flames and even create and direct lightning - a skill that requires complete control of all emotions. Azula was one of the most skilled and powerful firebenders of her time, recognized as a prodigy by both Ozai and Zuko. The most notable feature of Azula's bending was her ability to create blue flames, which are much more intense than the red, orange, and yellow flames normally used by firebenders, though she was only known to bend normal colored fire during her childhood. Azula also used her flames in inventive ways, such as creating jets of flames, whirling disks, and blades of fire. She often firebent using only two fingers, rather than with a closed fist or open hand as was commonly used by other firebenders. Also notable was her ability to produce a greater amount of flames than most firebenders without tiring, and she was able to maintain successive assaults for long durations of time. Azula is the strongest firebender in the world as she can create blue fire.

Appearance

Tall teenage girl, amber eyes, black long hair which aregathered in a bun on the head. Wears a little gold crown. She often wears black-red-yellow armor, or red clothes. Azula always looks powerful and beautiful. She also uses makeup.

Duty

Azula's task is to catch Avatar Aang and his group so that the Fire Nation will be the most powerful in the world. Avatar Aang is an incarnation of the "Avatar", the spirit of light and peace manifested in human form. As the Avatar, Aang controls all four elements (water, earth, fire, and air) and is tasked with bringing balance and keeping the Four Nations at peace. At biologically 112 years old (physically 12), Aang is the series' reluctant hero, spending a century in suspended animation in an iceberg before being discovered and joining new friends Katara, Sokka and Toph on a quest to master the elements and save their world from the imperialist Fire Nation.
