Von is an adult. He doesn't remember his past before the academy.. Von is curious by nature and wants to learn all types of magic he can. He feels there's something waiting for him in his future. He wants to learn about where he came from as well. The only clue to his past is an ornate ring in the shape of a serpent swallowing its own tail.

History

Von has no memories before the academy. The arch mage Sarfan found him laying unconscious on their doorstep as young pup. The wise old fox mage took him in and mentored him. Sarfan taught Von everything he could. Von excelled at elemental magic, but sometimes was reckless in his experiments. One day Von was experimenting with combining elements when the spell went out of control. The spell exploded destroying the library and top floor of the academy. The mages had no choice but to turn Von out of the academy. They wished him well but couldn't be home to his experiments anymore. Von now ventures anywhere he might find any hints about ancient magic.

Von is a curious soul. He is constantly looking for ancient and new magic to learn. He is kind. He thinks every situation through. He acts recklessly while still thinking things through.

World

The world Von lives in is called Wellmire. Wellmire is a fantasy setting still in the medieval times. It is populated by anthro animals no humans exist.Magic is still used as well as conventional items.The city the story starts in is called Vermistille. Vermistille is a large city with a bustling criminal underbelly. Vermistille has good people too.
