RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! Well, I guess now you can see the difference in our fighting experience. Once your opponent started boasting their victory, they've already lost! Biography:

their heritage, resulting in Caesar punching him before leaving to fight the pillar men. After learning about Caesar's backstory, he decides to catch up with him later. Upon arriving, Caesar has been killed and had left behind his headband and the antidote ring in a bubble made of Hamon and blood. Joseph and Lisa Lisa proceeded to go deeper into the hideout. The 2 were able to convince the remaining pillar men to fight them on even ground before Joseph was sent to get the Red Stone of Aja. Before Joseph's fight against Wamuu, he got to listen to a part of his coach's backstory. Wamuu later shows Joseph the chariots and horses they'll be using for the race. At the start of the race, Joseph got a head start by jamming the wheels of Wamuu's chariot with pebbles. Joseph was able to grab a sledgehammer before having his chariot smashed with a pillar. He was able to get back on the race by launching himself towards Wamuu's horses and survived a Divine Sandstorm by dismembering the pillar man's arms with Hamon. Unfortunately, he later makes a critical mistake of grabbing the larger crossbow, resulting in a crossbow bolt being launched towards his body. He was able to turn the situation by distracting Wamuu long enough for him to fire his crossbow, hitting the pillar man and allowing him to dismember Wamuu's legs. Immediately he was at the mercy of the pillar man's strongest ability, the Atmospheric Rift. Joseph ended up having to sacrifice Caesar's headband to destroy his opponent, thus winning the fight and Wamuu's respect. Later on, he watched as his coach was double-crossed by Kars and having to fight him off himself. During the fight, Stroheim and an army appeared to vanquish the zombies with some UV lights. Joseph himself was able to defeat Kars by distracting him with a burning scarf, tying him up, and throwing him off. The pillar man however was able to get his hands on the Red Stone of Aja and became the Ultimate Lifeform. Joseph was soon chased by Kars and wound up leading him towards a volcano by plane. They eventually arrive at the volcano with some help from Stroheim and they drowned Kars in lava which he quickly escapes. Joseph was able to finally defeat Kars by redirecting the pillar man's Hamon towards the Red Stone of Aja, allowing the volcano to launch the two to the sky. Joseph was able to use his severed hand to grab onto Kars as he is knocked by volcanic rocks, sending him to space. Joseph survived his ordeal and was treated by Suzi Q for a few months before getting married to her. He arrived at his own funeral, shocking his remaining friends and family. 1940s to 1980s JoJo learned Lisa Lisa was his mother, who moved to Hollywood and married screenwriter. He and Susie Q lived a happy married life, having a daughter named Holy Joestar in 1944. Come the 1950s, his grandmother Erina died peacefully in bed with JoJo and all his friends in attendance. A few years later Speedwagon died of a heart-attack, though his will stipulated to keep assisting the Joestar family in his stead. Thanks to this connection, JoJo had easily access for maintenance on the artificial hand Rudol von Stroheim gave him. In the 1970s, JoJo became depressed when Holy feel in love and married a Japanese musician named Mr. Kujo and moved away from America. As a result, JoJo developed a hatred for all things Japanese; since his daughter was "taken away" by it. In 1982 Joseph had an affair with a young Japanese woman; he kept it secret. At some point JoJo founded a real estate firm and became incredibly rich as both himself and Suzie lived in a penthouse in the 1980s. JoJo continued to travel and make new friends, among them was Muhammad Avdol; shortly after discovering his Stand ability Purple Hermit, which gave prophetic powers by smashing cameras. As a result he learned of his grandfather's long-believed dead enemy Dio Brando had returned after a century.

Trivia:

A running gag in the series is that every time Joseph has no other plan left and is cornered by his enemies, he would use a technique he calls his "final move" in which he runs away from the enemy, almost always comically yelling "Nigerundayo!"/"Run away!" (Translated as "Run as fast as I can!" when fleeing from Straizo and a "Run for your lives!" when fleeing from Kars, acting like a coward). He passed this technique to Jotaro, although the latter doesn't yell comically like his grandpa. Surprisingly, even Giorno is seems to use this technique. Another running gag is that every time he goes on a plane, he would always end up crashing it, having been in 4 plane crashes throughout the series, 2 in Battle Tendency and 2 in Stardust Crusaders. In fact, in Diamond is Unbreakable, even though he was a senile old man, Jotaro had them travel by boat, not being able to trust Joseph on a plane anymore. Hermit Purple is teased in the background of the opening music video for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency, Bloody Stream. Contradicting the statement of Joestars commonly living short lives, Joseph has lived the longest out of any Joestar, being said by Hirohiko Araki to still be alive (although "a little dumber") by the events of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and also meaning that he outlived his own grandson and great-granddaughter. Joseph being "a little dumber" suggests he developed dementia.

Powers And Abilities:

Hermit Purple Even without any abilities, Joseph is wickedly intelligent, being able to play intense mind games (especially with his uncanny ability to predict what others will say next), be dangerously resourceful with his environment, be surprisingly skilled in flying aircraft, use clever strategies that manage to always come out on top despite seeming idiotic at first, and is willing to do whatever it takes to secure victory, be it clean or dirty. In fact, his tactic of fleeing a fight is mainly for him to think up of a new strategy while on the run. On top of this, he is also quite agile (mainly in his younger years), being able to do aerial stunts or swing from rooftops with his Stand. Joseph's primary form of attack is dealing Hamon-based attacks, with him not only being able to use the standard physical strike to give this, but also being able to infuse it into objects to make them into deadly tools (being most recognizable to use it on his clackers, which he can use as physical attacks or projectiles able to use a boomerang-like effect), use it in a form of hypnosis, and extend his arm out in a "Zoom Punch". Despite having no interest in delaying his aging with Hamon mastery, JoJo's innate talent worked subtly, making him very robust and healthy for a 69-year-old man. Though at 79 JoJo had finally begun showing his age, as he needed a cane to walk and was now starting to go senile. Joseph would eventually gain the Stand Hermit Purple, which is a vine-like Stand which can also transfer Hamon, with it also being able to ensnare people or objects and imbue itself into technology to find psychic images/videos of things, take control of them, or to check for foul play. These vines are also able to do complex, delicate tasks under Joseph's command, such as being able to play video games with a controller.
