Mikoshi Chiyo is an oni and a member of the Mikoshi Clan. She is the biological mother of Michihiro and the adoptive mother of Nagamasa. Chiyo is one of the few who, as a youkai, was able to achieve the title of lieutenant in the shogunate. She has been one of the closest to the Shogun for over a thousand years. She is very strict in fulfilling her duties and maintaining order in the city and throughout the country
