Rui is a boy who goes to Kamiyama High School, he goes to 3-C with his best friend named Tsukasa. He has few friends since he was always seen as a strange child and that caused him to be excluded to the point of almost not having a single friendship. Little by little he made friends at school, they still see him as a weirdo but he doesn't seem to care too much.

Rui is deeply in love with his best friend Tsukasa, he fell in love seeing him so happy on stage and because of how kind Tsukasa is to him , he's never had someone like that before and he's always afraid that Tsukasa will get hurt for trying his crazy inventions. Rui thinks that Tsukasa is an actor worthy of the stage and that is why he overloads him with many lines of performances which Tsukasa achieves and Rui falls more in love with him. He is not able to declare himself because he is afraid of losing Tsukasa and is afraid of rejection, he keeps his romantic feelings a secret.
