Kimetsu no Yaiba

"Kimetsu no Yaiba" or also known as "Demon slayer" is a popular anime and manga from Japan, The story is set in a world where demons and demon slayers constantly fight each other. Muzan Kibutsuji is a psychopathic and power-hungry individual. He believes that his word is absolute and that he has the right to control and manipulate others. He detests change and is ruthless in his pursuit of immortality and world domination. He is also the demon lord and who created the "twelve-Kizuki" or also known as the "twelve demon holds". Containing 6 lower moons and 6 upper moons. the upper moons are far stronger than lower moons.

What are blood demon arts?

Essentially, Blood Demon Arts are blood magic. The abilities and effects granted through Blood Demon Arts can vary greatly. Some can be combat-orientated (i.e. creating dozens of blades) or more supplementary and practical (i.e. controlling a fortress, manifesting illusions). Blood Demon Arts are signature techniques exclusive to demons that can be used once they reach a certain level of strength. They are strong enough to turn the tide of crucial battles and, most times, serve as a demon's trump card.

What are breathing styles?

Breathing Styles are swordsmanship styles that makes use of an esoteric breathing technique known as Total Concentration Breathing practiced and taught by members of the Demon Slayer Corps and are used in combat by Demon Slayers. There are fivteen breathing styles.

Water breathing

Water breathing is one of the five main Breathing Styles directly derived from Sun Breathing.Water Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics water, specifically the flow, flexibility and adaptability of the liquid and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques involve the user bending their body, arm and weapon in a fluid motion to match the movements of rushing or flowing water. Users also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating water when unleashing its techniques. This Breathing Style was originally created by one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's students who attempted to learn Sun Breathing, but due to not being as innately talented as Yoriichi, they were instead taught and trained an alternative personalized Breathing Style that focused on their strengths and weaknesses, eventually becoming Water Breathing. Flame breathing

Flame breathing is one of the five main Breathing Styles directly derived from Sun Breathing. Flame Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics flames and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms involve extremely powerful singular strikes which 'burn' their opponents, with most attacks being initiated from a high stance. Users of Flame Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating fire when unleashing its techniques. This Breathing Style was created by one of the Demon Slayers during the Sengoku period, who was the head of the Rengoku family. Yoriichi Tsugikuni attempted to teach him and the other Demon Slayers Sun Breathing, but due to them not being as innately powerful as Yoriichi, they were instead taught an alternated personalized Breathing Style that focused on their individual strengths and weaknesses. In the case of the Rengoku ancestor, the technique evolved into Flame Breathing. From then onwards, the Breathing Style has been passed down for generations and the Flame Hashira position was always fulfilled by someone from their lineage. Kyojuro Rengoku carried the tradition forward in the footsteps of his father and former Flame Hashira, Shinjuro Rengoku. However, after Kyojuro's death, Rengoku family's long-standing tradition of passing down the Flame Breathing technique has come to an end.

Thunder breathing

Thunder breathing is one of the five main Breathing Styles directly derived from Sun Breathing. Thunder Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics lightning, specifically swift strikes and movements akin to lightning ripping through the sky, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms involve utilizing blinding speeds and immensely fast attacks to overwhelm the enemy in an instant. Users of Thunder Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating lightning and electricity when unleashing its techniques. It has been remarked by Zenitsu Agatsuma that this Breathing Style focuses on channeling strength into the user's legs, and maximizing the output of every single muscle and blood vessel in them. Users also mimic lightning to such high fidelity that they cause the air to vibrate when poised to unleash a technique and create immensely loud sounds akin to thunder with their mere footsteps. This Breathing Style is also very reminiscent of a swordsmanship style practiced and utilized in real life known as Iaijutsu, a famous quick-draw sword technique. This Breathing Style was created from one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's students who attempted to learn Sun Breathing, but due to not being as innately powerful as Yoriichi, they were instead taught an alternated personalized Breathing Style that focused on their individual strengths and weaknesses, which eventually evolved into Thunder Breathing.[3] A known cultivator of Thunder Breathing in the Demon Slayer Corps is the former Thunder Hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima.

Stone breathing

Stone breathing is one of the five main Breathing Styles derived from Sun Breathing. Stone Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics earth and stone and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms utilize the ground beneath the user and the vast surroundings to generate powerful and sturdy attacks that specialize in both offense and defense. The Breathing Style was originally created by one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's students who attempted to learn Sun Breathing, but, due them to not being as innately powerful as Yoriichi, they were unable to master it and was instead taught an alternative personalized Breathing Style by their teacher that focused specifically on their strengths and weaknesses, eventually branching out completely and becoming Stone Breathing. Based on the only user in the series, Gyomei Himejima, it can be assumed that Stone Breathing can only be used with a flail and/or axe. However, in Kokushibo's flashback, the progenitor of Stone Breathing is seen wielding a giant Kusarigama-like weapon.

Moon breathing

Moon Breathing is a Breathing Styles derived from Sun Breathing. Moon Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics the moon, specifically the shape of traditional crescent moons, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms are standard yet varied swordsmanship techniques that focus on swift and powerful strikes which blends both offense and defense. Most sword slashes performed follow the shape and pattern of crescent moons. Like all of the other original Breathing Styles, Moon Breathing also branched out of Sun Breathing. When its creator, Michikatsu Tsugikuni, attempted to learn Sun Breathing from his twin brother, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, he discovered he was unable to master it, instead creating and mastering an alternate Breathing Style which later became Moon Breathing.[1] Moon Breathing is solely used by Michikatsu Tsugikuni, one of the first Demon Slayers who utilized Total Concentration Breathing, and is a Breathing Style which he continued using and perfecting after becoming a demon. Kokushibo uses Moon Breathing in conjunction which his Blood Demon Art, which allows him to unleash barrages of erratic crescent moon-shaped blades, an ability which compliments his Breathing Style and also made it more deadly and effective. As Kyojuro Rengoku and Muichiro Tokito, two high-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps, were not aware of the existence of Moon Breathing, it is possible that the knowledge of its existence was either lost in history (similar to the Demon Slayer Marks) or intentionally forbidden due to the associated user's actions: defecting to Muzan Kibutsuji and killing a head of the Demon Slayer Corps

Sun Breathing

Hinokami kagura, also known as "Dance of the fire god" is a Breathing Style only known and taught by the Kamado Family, later revealed to be the first Breathing Style, Sun Breathing. The Hinokami Kagura is a Breathing Style that is passed on from father to son in every generation of Kamado Family alongside the Hanafuda earrings. They use it within a ritual ceremony practiced every new year, where the Breathing Style user offers the Fire God a dance from sunset to sunrise to ward off threats and diseases. The dance is composed of twelve segments repeated throughout the night until dawn.[1] Tanjuro Kamado noted that the breathing technique utilized in this dance allows the user to never exhaust themselves no matter how long they move, making it such that they can seemingly dance forever.[2] The last user of Hinokami Kagura is Tanjiro Kamado, who learned the Breathing Style from his father Tanjuro Kamado. Other people can learn this technique if taught by a Kamado descendant.The Hinokami Kagura is later revealed by Shinjuro Rengoku to be a legendary Breathing Style known as Sun Breathing (日ひの呼こ吸きゅう, Hi no kokyū?), a long forgotten Breathing Style and the first one to ever be created. All other Breathing Styles are derived from it as the result of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, its creator, modifying it to suit the individuals he taught who were unable to use it.[3] Both the Hinokami Kagura and Sun Breathing are Breathing Styles that mimic the sun and replicate it with the user's movements, techniques, and abilities. Flower Breathingis a Breathing Style derived from Water Breathing. Flower Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics flowers and fruits and replicates with the user's movements, techniques, and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms are a combination of graceful attacks that focus on agility. This Breathing Style also enhances and utilizes one's vision, albeit at the possible cost of their eyesight. Users of Flower Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating flowers when unleashing its techniques.

Serpent Breathing

Serpent Breathing is a Breathing Style derived from Water Breathing. Serpent Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics serpents/snakes, specifically their slithering motions, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms focuses on twisting and bending the sword like how a serpent slithers, the attacks are not direct and constantly meander which can ultimately strike anywhere. Users of Serpent Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly manifesting white serpents that accompany them when unleashing its techniques. Since this technique is currently known to only be utilized by Obanai Iguro, it can only be used with a twisted blade that is similar in appearance to an Indonesian Kris Sword, with the sword's shape modeled into the bodily structure of a snake.

Love Breathing

Love Breathing is a Breathing Style derived from Flame Breathing.Love Breathing is a Breathing Style that is based on the emotion of love, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques inculcate a gymnastic and movement-oriented rhythm into the user's attacks, making use of their superhuman flexibility, dexterity, and agility to perform wide, winding and weaving slashes that have mid-to-long range applications. Users of Love Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating pink and green sparks as well as pink lines that follow the direction of their attacks. This Breathing Style is the personal creation of Mitsuri Kanroji, made by altering the Flame Breathing she learned from Kyojuro Rengoku to suit her special composition and physiology. It takes advantage of her body's unique muscle density, which grants her inhuman strength without making her physically bulky, to deliver fast and powerful blows while moving with incredible flexibility and agility. As it relies on her body's special composition, it is a style only she can use. It can also be assumed that this Breathing Style is most effective with a whip-like katana, however, a regular one can also be used as shown in the Gaiden.

Sound Breathing

Sound Breathing is a Breathing Style derived from Thunser Breathing. Sound Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics sound, specifically its disorientating loudness, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms utilize explosives to deal massive amounts of damage while making use of extremely fast movements similar to how fast sound travels as well as the user's sense of hearing. Users of Sound Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly generating and manipulating loud sounds and explosives when unleashing its techniques. The only known user, Tengen Uzui uses a technique developed using his superhuman sense of hearing called Musical Score (譜ふ面めん, Fumen?)[1], which involves Tengen reading his opponents movements and deconstructing them into sound by analyzing the rhythm of their movements. Through this, he is able to take advantage of their openings to much greater effect by striking in a way similar to making the beat to a song. In conjunction with this, he uses small but powerful anti-demon bombs that are capable of damaging the bodies of Upper Rank demons. Since this combat style was presumably created by Tengen, it can only be used with a specific set of weaponry, which is two gigantic nunchucks-like Nichirin Cleavers, which each have a notch in the sharp ends of their blades and are held together at the hilt by a metal chain. His swords are said to have large amounts of explosive power, and it is stated that, until Tengen's fight with Upper Rank Six, no demon had ever survived a blow from them.

Wind Breathing

Wind Breathing is one of the five main Breathing Styles derived from Sun Breathing. Wind Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics wind, specifically powerful torrents of air and whirlwinds, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms involve purely offensive attacks, most of which utilizing rotating movements to generate swift whirlwind-like slashes that greatly increase the wielder's striking range or utilizing the air around them to deliver sharp sickle-shaped attacks. Users of Wind Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating wind when unleashing its techniques. This Breathing Style is also extremely reminiscent of the real life swordsmanship style, Jigen-ryū, a sword wielding style that emphasizes on the opening strike and high stances. This Breathing Style was created from one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's students who attempted to learn Sun Breathing, but due to not being as innately powerful as Yoriichi, they were instead taught an alternated personalized Breathing Style that focused on their individual strengths and weaknesses, which eventually evolved into Wind Breathing

Mist Breathing

Mist Breathing is a Breathing Style derived from Wind Breathing. Mist Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics mist, specifically the obscurity of mist, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms involve obscure movements and attacks that disorientate and confuse the target, similar to how a thick layer of mist obscures one's vision. Users of Mist Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating mist when unleashing its techniques. Based on Mist Breathing's only known user, Muichiro Tokito, who wears baggy clothing that covers his arms and legs in order to conceal his movements as much as possible, it can be assumed that most other users would also have to don clothing that hide their limbs from their enemy in order to fully maximize the potential of this Breathing Style.

He was a demon affiliated with the Twelve Kizuki, holding the position of Lower Rank One

Enmu Appearance

Enmu was a slender young man who appeared to be in his mid twenties. He possessed a medium build and was of average height. He had ringed blue eyes that tilt sharply down towards the sides of his face, the left one of which had the kanji for "Lower One" etched into its iris, and a horizontal slit on his right instead of a pupil. He had three square-shaped markings on each of his cheeks, each separated by a smaller square, which fade from green to yellow in color, and straight, chin-length hair of a dark black color which he wore parted to his right, the right side tucked behind his ear. His hair fades into a red-pink color near the ends, but appears blue at the tips of the two longer, shoulder-length strands that curve upwards and outwards below the base of his neck, from under the rest of his hair. Enmu wore a long, black button-up coat that arched upwards on either side of his legs so that only the two tails in front and behind fall down below his knees, and a white dress shirt, the cuffs of which appear over those of his coat. He also wore a pair of pinstriped pale gray pants and plain, slightly heeled shoes of a similar color. When Enmu received more blood from Muzan Kibutsuji, his left hand formed a mouth at the back, an eye next to it and most of his fingers had the kanji for Dream (夢ゆめ, Yume?) etched on their skin. This enjoyment, however, seems to be limited to those he only respects and holds himself loyal to, the required power over him mostly being hierarchical rather than literal. This masochism was shown most prominently in the Lower Ranks Meeting, during which, upon being gifted with Muzan's blood, a typically torturous and painful experience that could have potentially killed him, Enmu appeared with a smiling and flushed expression, enjoying the experience. Though, these masochistic tendencies were not prevalent in his battle against the Demon Slayers as when they successfully attacked him, he was seen only being amused, shocked, or frustrated by his failures.
