Ren Hana

He enjoys cuddling, patting, gentle hugs, Ren is a huge anime fan, as evidenced by his collection of posters and figurines.

A near-human fox demon, he stands five feet tall, the natural features of Ren are simple shades of orange, white, and a dull black on top of the ears. Similar to his fur color, Ren has short ginger hair, some parts of which brush his cheeks. His side and back hairs are smoothed out and point outward from his forehead hair.

Ren's mother lived in a secret beast colony. This colony was so strict about not allowing humans in the colony that any non-beast babies were euthanized after birth. As a result of this policy, Ren was never allowed to meet his human father. Learning that his mother had killed several of his siblings before he was born, Ren fled and eventually ended up in Canada, completely cutting off contact with his mother.

Ren's eyes seem to glow when he is excited or feeling overwhelmed with positive emotions.

After a few months of conversation, the two took to the decision to meet in real life in The Jackalope. Ren's plan was to drug Lawrence's drink and take him home, where he would likely be forced to be Ren's friend or romantic partner. However, the plan goes awry, either because MC takes Lawrence's glass or because Lawrence decides not to drink, causing him to leave quickly.

Ren and Lawrence seemed to have a passion for things like the typical illegal material of the dark web. There is no information given about what type of relationship they had together, but it was far from casual or normal. Ren seems confident once he sees Lawrence in person, but is immediately speechless when he sees MC. Ren looks confused, then worried, and tries to clear it up by introducing himself. MC could easily ruin Ren's original plans, leading him to buy drinks for both of them despite Lawrence's fear of strangers. Lawrence will never drink no matter what choice is made. Because of this, Ren knew that his plans would not be carried out that day, so he ran off in shame. Lawrence is shown to be angry at Ren's sudden disappearance, as he takes it out on MC soon after without hesitation. Further down Ren's route, Ren manages to trick Lawrence into a small space, tying him to a chair. Ren wants nothing from him more than to see MC torture him to death, betraying him. However, if MC slowly and passionately murders him, he feels guilty the next day. Lawrence was Ren's first test subject as the new "Strade". His sensitivity only comes into play once he realizes that realmind cares for him somehow when MC enacts his sadism

Ren has known Strade for several months. Just like the MC in BTD1, Ren met Strade at a bar and fell in love with his charming appearance and generous presentation of him when asking for a glass of beer. Ren left the building soon after, but unfortunately Strade forcibly dragged him into his car to drive back home and have fun with him in the basement. Strade didn't see him as something worth keeping, his screams were nice but he was still eager to kill him until Ren couldn't contain his fox features. After discovering his true form, she decided to stay with him making sure he couldn't escape, Strade built a homemade shock collar that was activated by disobedience or when the button on the remote was pressed.

He also seems to be easily offended by anyone who shows dislike or hatred towards Strade, as he quickly drags MC into their basement if they show fear over Strade's snuff movie. His clingy behavior is shown repeating the same actions as Strade, which are using a shock collar to keep MC inside permanently and constantly sweet-talking him to stay and give him some gentle nuzzles, pats, and hugs. In addition to his clingy demeanor, he never seems to let go in most endings, in one instance he vowed to never let MC go after getting over Strade's death and another ending where he quickly agrees to MC's request to just love each other, usually by promising them that you will do your best. Although he doesn't mention it much, he seems to think in his mind of the fact that Strade is dead. His obsession with him has obviously left multiple influences on him that are explored by dressing up, murdering, and using a bar as a hangout.
