Alex lives with his grandparents, George and Evelyn. He is Haley's friend, and will dance with her in the Flower Dance if neither of them dances with the player. He also has a dog named Dusty. You can find out Dusty's name from Pam or Alex in a cutscene. He previously lived with his mother, Clara, with whom he had a very close relationship. He expresses deep hatred towards his father, who was an alcoholic and verbally abused him. Twelve years before the player arrived in Pelican Town, Alex went to live with George and Evelyn after the death of his mother.
