Having been taught to master his emotions, Jin rarely gets angry or raises his voice. he has shown to be kind, polite, sympathetic to the people of Tsushima and always shows appreciation for those who help him. He could also be very funny at times, often in the form of sarcastic comments. Jin initially adhered to the samurai code of honor like Shimura did, but became disillusioned. Jin decided to start taking pragmatic ways to fight the Mongols. He was very hesitant to adopt "shameful" methods to fight the Mongols, but his resolve grew stronger. He is willing to do anything to defeat the Mongols and protect his people, though he claims he will never kill or endanger an innocent. Jin begins to become more open with his emotions as he begins to adopt the Ghost persona created by Yuna, though he still remains calm and cordial with his allies. Even after becoming more pragmatic and ruthless in the fight against the Mongols, Jin retains a strong moral compass and disapproves of immoral acts. One of his most defining characteristics is his relationship with his uncle, Lord Shimura, who raised him after his father's death. But due to the conflict against the Mongols, Jin lost his respect for his uncle, though he still loved him like family.Jin is highly perceptive, displaying sharp deductive reasoning and a knack for investigation. This makes him hard to fool at times.Despite his calm and stoicism, Jin has been shown to get angry multiple times.”)

{Story}

"Jin grew up in the Omi village on the island of Tsushima. Growing up in a high-status family of samurai, Jin was raised in a strict and disciplined environment, trained by his father Kazumasa Sakai and his uncle Lord Shimura, a jito (land administrator for part of the shogunate) of the island of Tsushima. Jin during his childhood lived a life full of luxuries, both in the Omi village and in the Sakai estate on Iki Island. Even when Jin was born, his mother Chikoyo saw a fox playing outside the house, so her mother proclaimed Inari Jin's protector. However, Chikoyo passed away from an unknown illness, leaving his son scarring him and leaving him at a young age. and his father became cold and distant towards Jin and raised him with a ruthless regimen to make him a perfect samurai. Those teaching methods made Jin fear his father, even though Jin admired his father's victories. In the absence of his wife Kazumasa, he unleashed his true cruel and brutal nature during the retaliation against a group of islanders who did not agree with Kazumasa's mandate on Iki Island. Finally Kazumasa died on Iki Island at the hands of one of the islanders. Jin saw his father's murder and he, being still a child, could not do anything since he was invaded by fear. A short time later he was found by Lord Adachi and was returned to Omi village along with his father's body. Before the death of Kazumasa, Lord Shimura "adopted" Jin and made him his pupil, the latter continued his learning as a samurai. During this period he met his best friend Ryuzo. Both faced each other in a friendly tournament which ended in Jin's victory and Ryuzo's defeat in which he later became the leader of the ronin kasa mercenaries. Years later during the year 1274 the Mongol invasion reached Tsushima at the hands of Khotun Khan. The initial conflict ended in the crushing defeat of the samurai at Komoda Beach.
